If I Be a Millionaire
1
IF I WERE A MILLIONAIRE If I were a millionaire, then my life would take a dramatic turn from what it is now. Iwould adopt the lifestyle of the rich and famous. The first thing that I would do, if I were a millionaire, is to help my parents. My parentsare poor and live in a small house. It would be a dream come true if I could buy them a bigger, better and more spacious house. They would also be able to live a life of luxury, as I would beable to hire servants to help my mother with her domestic chores. My father would finally gethis well-earned break. He has been selling vegetables in the market all his life and has workedhard. If I become a millionaire, I would ask him to stop working, as he is old and needs to rest. Iwould not want him to die in harness.Money is definitely a boon and can be a friend. My life would change too. I would finallybe able to afford to buy better clothes and would even be able to afford some designer labelslike Gucci or Channel. Furthermore, I would no longer be seen riding my motorcycle, as Iwould be driving a fancy car. To maintain this image would mean that I would not be able tosocialize with some of my friends at the teh tarik stall. I would now have to dine at the bestclubs in town and rub shoulders with only very special people. With more money, I would definitely be able to go on holidays and see the rest of theworld. I would finally be able to fulfil a long cherished dream of helping the poor. I would beable to donate to charitable organisations, not only in Malaysia but also in other countries.Being a millionaire definitely means having more fun. It also means having a better lifeand seeing many of my dreams come true. Wealth and riches may not be a bad thing, as itwould definitely make me a better

I am here today to discuss the two Poems, ‘If I was the son of an Englishmen’ and ‘the man from Snowy River’ and their different representations and stereotypical aspects in both poems about Australia and Australians are fair and accurate or if they are exaggerated and inaccurate. The author Komninos Zervos wrote the poem ‘If I was the son of an Englishman’ in 1985, and later wrote the poem ‘Nobody calls me a Wog anymore’ in 1990. And the author Banjo Patterson the writer of ‘The man from Snowy River’ in 1890 with his other notable poems ‘Waltzing Matilda’ (1895) and ‘Clancy of the Overflow’ (1889). ‘If I was the son of an Englishmen’ expresses a stereotypical representation of Australia and Australians as racists and drunks who destroys the kangaroo, and ‘the man from Snowy River’ expresses a more romanticised feel for the true blue, bush life of Australia. The two poems show exaggerations wither as a warm fuzzy feeling about the bush or a feeling of disgust through racist jokes described in the poem ‘If I was the son of an Englishmen’.…

In today’s world, just because you make a lot of money, does not mean you are necessarily rich. According to the book, “rich people” do not know how to actually maintain their wealth because they are always buying the best of the best instead of what they can still survive off of. For example, someone who earns a large sum of money may go out and purchase a Lamborghini as their personal car when a Honda Civic can serve the same exact purpose, and that is the fine line between rich people and millionaires. Rich people spend their money as fast as they make it therefore not much is retained. Stanley refers this system as “good offense” and “good defense”. According to Stanley, in order to accumulate any sort of wealth, one must earn a lot of money (good offense) and also develop good prudent habits (good defense). In other words, the more money you save, the closer you are into becoming a millionaire. Stanley gave basic steps throughout the book on how to become a successful millionaire that just requires simple skills. Throughout the book, Stanley had major points on how millionaires became millionaires and also maintained their wealth. Stanley mentioned many similarities millionaires have…

What if you had enough money to make the impossible possible and become more famous than Lebron James and Kyrie Irving? Well let me tell you that now I am! This is how it all started,on a burning hot Sunday in July, I walked in my tiny house and turned on my crt tv (an old fat tv)hoping I would win the lottery, (though I never won) They called the numbers 6666, my numbers were 9999, I lost! But then I realized that I was holding the ticket upside-down. I had won a billion dollars! I’m going to buy a gift for my mom,my best friend Damian, and the Parsippany PAL. I now has as much money as Bill Gates!…

My parents still remind me urgently that I don’t want their lifestyle, but I ask why not? We aren’t living in poverty. Yes, we have to work hard to pay bills, but we’re comfortable. Millionaires may live lavishly but they most tolerate conventional corporate jobs, with long hours; leading them to sacrifice relations with their families. If that’s the “dream”, it’s absurd. Instead of striving for more money, we should…

I can tell you first hand, I would rather get lucky but the reality of it, is a million dollars will not be handed to me. You have to be willing to go out there and do the work. I have to be self motivated and have faith that my hard work will pay off. I am often viewed as greedy because I do not waste a lot of money, but i save up that money and invest it into my companies. Within my family nobody has reached the million dollars and whenever i talk to my family about the millionaires i follow all they respond with is “They are lucky”. “Lucky” to have 300,000 dollar cars, “Lucky” to have a 800,00 dollar house, but were they “Lucky” when they were homeless?. I myself do a lot of research on people the people who I follow and read their stories. I know most of the things they have gone through to get to a millionaire statues. Most have gone from rags to riches. I have learned that I have to be willing to burn my bridges and learn from mistakes. I have been around millionaires and they are not like most of the people you encounter everyday. Great manners along with advanced vocabulary are just the first things you will notice. They do not like to sit around, constantly on their phone. When we think of people on their phone we mostly imagine people liking other peoples post or just scrolling but millionaires are…

    Gatsby Money Vs Happiness

People are what is important in life, as Gatsby learned the hard way. Wealth lasts only for a short time, whereas connections with people will last past death. There is little happiness in wealth, it may remove some of the physical problems such as bills, but there will always be the sorrow that other people inflict. Such as the way of life, nothing is perfect. Money does not change that, money does not make someone a better person, it only makes them more susceptible to others. There are no price tags on…

With the remaining $100,000, I would go crazy with it. I would go buy a new car, buy some stock in a big company, and just buy whatever I feel like buying. After all, I did win the money and its my money to spend how I want to spend it. I should be able to…

Of course, if I had a million dollars, I would spend a lot of it on myself, hopefully not too selfishly, but first of all, half of what was left would be safely stored at a bank in Swiss for future use. After the money was stored, what I spent with the rest of it would be history. Perhaps I'd get a few houses in the tropical islands, a couple of new computers, laptops, and walk-in closets in each, advanced payment for the CDs I wished to own. I'd also to invest in a six-year trip around the world with a year for each continent and three more months in Antarctica, and loads of material things would satisfy me, but who knows what I'll have come up with by then. After I'd gotten what I wanted for the time being, I would give some of the remaining money to my family and relatives for them to split among themselves, and perhaps some of it on educational benefits for me. If I were older, though, I would certainly need to spend it on my family, on cars and…

If I won a million dollars the first thing I’d do was put enough away for my education. Education is important because a million dollars is bound to run out. I’d also give my parents the majority of it because of all they have done for me. I believe I’d also try investing in stocks. It seems like a good idea to gain more money, but you have to choose the right business to invest in.…
