Course Objectives Ms. Ayala
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with some of the major fields of science, as well as develop their understanding of the nature of science, the methods of scientific investigation, how science governs our world and our society, and the important role it plays in our everyday lives. First semester will focus on earth science and physics; second semester will focus on chemistry and biology.
Units Of Study 1. Earth’s Dynamic Geosphere 2. Active Physics: Communication 3. Active Chemistry: The Periodic Table and Cool Chemistry 4. Active Biology: Ecology and Evolution. Student Evaluation/Grading
