I Want To Go To College Essay
Have you wondered or thought about why homeless people are the way they are? Is it because they didn’t get an education? I plan to go to college, because I want to succeed in life and not be in the streets later on. I also want to make my parents happy. College is right for me.
College is fundamental to me for several reasons. For example, in the article College Is Worth The Cost, by Brooks C. Holtom states that “college graduates earn $2.1 million in a lifetime income compared with $1.2 million for high school graduates.” I will earn about a million more dollars than high school graduates if I am a college graduate. This is important because then I will have enough money to provide for my own kids and wife later on then I would also have enough money to give to my parents and siblings if they need it. Also, the article states, “continuing education after high school is much more important for our generation compared to our parents generation.” Additionally most jobs require more than a high school diploma. Did your parents attend college? If your parents did not have a chance to go to college then you should go to college to make them proud of you. Some people argue that college is a waste of time. For example, in article 2 it states that “ These billionaires achieved tremendous success without the benefit of a four year degree”. That is an understandable concern, however if you go to college you could earn a lot and not have to work as hard. Those billionaires had to work extra hard for that money because they didn’t go to college or just went to a short two year college. So if you are a college graduate you’ll earn a lot of money and don’t have to work as hard as the people who didn’t go to college. So that is the reason why they are wrong about not going to
