I Want To Become A Nursing Assistant
The nursing profession has interested me since the day both of my parents decided to become nursing assistants. They worked in a retirement facility where they often took me to spend time with the residents and since the first day i fell in love and knew i wanted to make a positive impact in the day to day lives of the wonderful residents i saw everyday. As soon as i turned 17 i took my nursing assistants courses at a local school where i was so eager to learn everything about how to be a nursing assistant where i "excelled in my work" as my instructor told me. I was so passionate about my work that i ended with a overall 94% grade and took my state board exams where i passed my written and practical exams the first time around and eventually

Nursing, in my opinion, is one of the most significant professions that one can be blessed to acquire. To those who pursue this field know it is a career that requires far more than simply an education even though the knowledge acquired from a degree is extremely important and necessary, by grasping rationale of the laws and regulations that rule nursing. A career in nursing requires someone to have compassion, sympathy, and care for others, especially those who are suffering from pain, illness and lack the understanding of what is happening to them or a loved one. It is a career of humanity, and it is this that first attracted me to a Masters degree in Nursing. My philosophy about nursing is that it is a career that one has to work hard for, but also a career that a person needs to have to a natural affinity for. I also believe one must have a commitment to helping others not expecting anything in return but a smile and knowing when you go home you gave your all. The ability to be a compassionate, caring nurse is what I hope to bring to the Masters degree in Nursing Program, gaining…

I started my career in the healthcare field as a unit clerk. My primary duties were answering the telephone and call light system. After about a year, I wanted to do more so I decided to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA). My duties as a CNA entailed helping patients/residents with their activities of daily living. I quickly realized that I did not want to play that particular role in the healthcare field and that I needed to do more. I applied for the licensed practical nurse program and was accepted. After graduating and passing my state board exam, I worked as a licensed practical nurse for six and a half years before applying for the associate degree nursing program for registered nurses. I was accepted and after completion my career as a registered nurse began.…

I have been interested in the nursing profession for years. Lack of experience at a younger age, perceived financial resource limitations, cross-country moves, etc. have all played a part in holding back allowing this interest turning into a reality. Now that I have had years in the retail, clinic and business pharmacy space to allow me to mature, I have educated myself about financial resources and have settled in my home of Phoenix, I feel that I am in a position to pursue becoming a registered nurse.…

The main reason i decided to turn to this field of work was feeling the need to help people in a way that my younger brother was helped when he was in out of hospitals. During this time i joined the voulanteer morton fire department to get a grasp and sense of working under pressure while remaining calm. Alot of the times i noticed ifyou are in a flusttered sense of mind it is best to leave the situation to someone who is more capable then end up causeing the situation to get much worse possibly causeing someone to get hurt or death. At first I was drawn to nursing as it was what my mother had done for a living for many years and I had seen much of what she did first hand with my many injuries in sports and being an adventurous child. As I went into high school and was able to see what it truly takes to be a nurse, with all of the bedside manner and to say it simply “blood and guts,” I began to rethink my decision to go into nursing. While it takes less schooling to become a nurse, it is an extremely rigorous course load and an arduous task for someone who is not fully committed to that field of work. I experienced the same kind of trials while looking at other health professions such as becoming a doctor, a veterinarian, or a dietician before finally coming to the realization that none of these were the career path for me.…

Nursing is a career not just a job, nursing is treating people as a disease, but as a unique individual who has his/her own values, beliefs, needs, and also treat the family with respect, compassion, patience, and show that we care. I chose nursing because I have always liked helping people. Ever since I was a little girl I liked helping and I would tell my dad that if he was ever sick I would take care of him so he could get better. At first I wanted to be a doctor, a pediatrician to be exact, but I chose nursing because, nurses have more contact with patients and nursing school is shorter than medical school. I know I made the right choice because as I have been doing clinicals, I have been falling more and more in love with what nurses do, but throughout the process I have also seen what kind of nurse I do not want to be. During clinicals there was an agency nurse a patient did…

I often get asked the question of what makes me want to pursue nursing? Or, why would I want to attend nursing school? To answer the question(s), there are numerous reasons as to how my interest in nursing came about and what makes me strive towards a possible future in nursing. For instance, like most individuals interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field, I love helping people. Not only people, but specifically babies. I relish the idea of being able to take care of newborns. The thought of being able to nourish and nurture a premature infant back to health, and helping make mothers feel at ease brings me joy. To me nursing is essential because there will always be someone in need.…
