I Want To Become A Neonatal Nurse
By narrowing the educational gap between the privileged and the unprivileged, everyone can

have an equal chance to contribute to society -- either in part or as a group -- and make right

choices in their lives to further benefit themselves. But why are the reasons I benefit it much

more than others my age? I for one is using my education to benefit myself for the future

that is coming at me in a flash. Personally, I have always thought that my education is always going to help me

achieve in life. I was always told to stay in school and try my best to get to finish high

Long story short, to this day we are best friends and are graduating

with each other. I try my first-rate to stay in school, especially now that I am in high school. I want to receive my diploma and accomplish somewhere in this lifetime. The year 2018 is my original

graduation year, due to being ahead of credits and taking extra online classes as my senior

classes I will be able to graduate in the year 2017. I have various plans after the school year.

I plan to apply to college and study there for 2-years and then transfer to a 4-year university.

My future career is a Neonatal nurse in Level I. To become a Neonatal nurse, education wise,

I have to become a registered nurse with a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

and certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing.

Though I have only spent three years in high school, I did get the chance to

experience the high school things like: attending sporting events and friendships that

unfortunately come and go. High school has taught me that not every person I have as

After I graduate, it is required of me to become a registered nurse by going to nursing school for a number of years. As a neonatal nurse, I must become certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing due to the fact that I will be handling ill infants. Many hospitals in different locations require nurses to complete a small number of years of clinical experience in a hospital setting before practicing as a neonatal nurse. There are 3 different levels of neonatal nursing. Level 1 neonatal nurses take care of healthy infants after they are born. However, there isn't a major demand for these types of nurses because many infants are more likely to stay in the same room with their mother. A level 2 neonatal nurse, which is what I plan on becoming, takes care of premature infants or infants born with illnesses. Level 2 nurses are much more of a necessity than any of the other levels because sick infants need constant attention. A level 2 neonatal nurse may seem as though they have a lot of responsibility on their hands being that they're working with ill infants, but they don't compare to Level 3 neonatal nurse practitioners. Level 3 neonatal nurses work in the NICU with extremely ill infants. They work countless hours checking in on the ill infants and making sure they are responding well to treatments. Level 3 neonatal…

This goal is important because it will lead me to my overall goal. In order to achieve this goal I will have to transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington. However, since the nursing program at the University of Texas at Arlington is very competitive I will apply to other Universities like Texas Christian University, Texas Woman’s University, and Baylor University. Meanwhile I will complete some required hospital work. I will also volunteer at local hospitals and try to gain experience to add to my resume. Lastly, to accomplish my goal I will have to take a minimum of twelve hours per semester including summers to accomplish this goal in two years.…
