I Love Baseball Essay
Whenever summer ends and school starts I always feel like I need another two weeks of relaxation.

Then I look on the bright side. I will get to learn many new skills and make new friends. This school year

is different than others. I switched school districts and don’t know as many people. I switched from

Martinez. The Martinez schools were always okay, never outstanding. Northgate has so far been a total

transformation. The students and teachers are so much more friendly and helpful.

All in all I had a great summer. I got to go to New York, Washington D.C, Paris, and camping for a week.

In New York I got to go to a Yankees game, see Aladdin on Broadway which was amazing, and go to the

top of the empire state building. In Washington I got to go to all the

Then Paris was the best part of summer. I got to go

to the Louvre, the Eiffel tower, and a bunch of other great sites. How was your summer and what did

you do?

When I don’t have school or homework I like to hang out with my friends and play baseball. I play third

base because I like the action. I am going to try out for freshman baseball and hopefully make the team.

I hear there are a lot of great players this year. My favorite subject is math because I want to be a civil

engineer. I want to be an engineer because my grandfather has taken me out on his jobs for years and

since the first job I completed I was hooked. I love working with numbers and computers and

engineering fits my niche. What was your dream job when you were in high school?

After high school I want to go to Cal Poly. At Cal Poly I will major in engineering and mathematics. I hope

to get masters in both. I want to go to Cal Poly because it is one of the best engineering schools in the

country. I also love that the school is so close to Pismo Beach.

I hope this year will be great and I am looking forward to all the memories that will be made.

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

For a majority of my childhood, the sport of baseball was the one activity I loved above anything else. Nothing could compare to the exhilarating freedom and satisfaction of bolting full speed around the bases, determined to steal, beating the "Throwdown" by a fraction of a second.
