I Hate Myselfie Book Report
I am currently reading I Hate Myselfie, a biography written by Shane Dawson.. There are two hundred twenty-four pages in this book. According to a review on Amazon, “Love this book. Shane is a hilarious, albeit slightly demented, freaking genius!!! His stories are always funny and always slightly embarrassing.” I think the intended audience for I Hate Myselfie would be ages 16-18+, and Shane Dawson fans. The reason I think this, is because there are so many inappropriate and hilarious scenarios. The reason as to why Shane Dawson fans should read this, is kindave self explanatory.

The protagonist of this story is Shane Dawson. He is a laughable, odd, inappropriate, anxious, depressed, comedian-ish type of guy that runs a YouTube channel. This story is all about his life outside of YouTube. They're just a bunch of tiny little novels about his experiences including his old addiction, his first kiss, how he found out he was a bisexual, and so on. Where this story takes place,

Bits and pieces of his life outside of YouTube. The first chapter of the book is about “His Destinee”. The chapter is called this, because it's about his “hair stylist” named Destinee. The chapter goes down like this. Shane went to a hair salon, there were some pretty bad workers there. Next thing he knows, Destinee asked why he'd stopped in. He said he was there for a hair appointment, she took him to one of the seats and set him down and placed the cutting gown around his necklace. Shane had a reference picture. But she wanted to do her own thing. So she started cutting his hair in her own little way. While she was cutting, she suddenly said “oops!” Under her breath. Shane made her stop cutting and went into the bathroom. He actually kinda liked the way it came out. After a little while of being in the bathroom he came out, payed and left. The story is pretty much just a bunch of little stories like

I read the book Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. The story begins in a small town in Sterling, New Hampshire. At the high school, you read about a routine day of students in classes. As a student runs out of class to leave for an orthodontist appointment a loud bang goes off in the parking lot, which turns out to be a bomb set off in Matt's car. The students are confused by the noise and gun shots are fired. Patrick, the only detective on the Sterling police force (which is just stupid to have only one), hears on his radio about the shooting at Sterling High School. Patrick sees several students on the floor, surrounded in blood. The boy is dead and has a gunshot in his head while his girlfriend, Josie wakes up and cant…

Also, this main idea is demonstrated through the way Shane treats Katie. He often calls her names like “Geek Girl” or tries to intimidate her. An example of this, is when he menacingly follows her through the halls, until she has to take refuge in the washroom. Additionally, at one point Shane assaults Katie in an attempt to aggravate Devan. This is described in the lines “Katie wriggling in his grip, still trying to break free. Her wrist is red from all the wrenching and twisting” (page 158)…

James Loewen wrote the book "Lies My Teacher Told ME" to help the students of the United States become aware of their true history. This book attempts to show how and why American history has been taught the way it has without regard for the truth. Mr. Loewen had compared twelve different history textbooks they are: The Great Republic, The American Way, Land of Promise, Rise of the American Nation, Challenge of Freedom, American Adventures, Discovering American History, The American Tradition, Life and Liberty, The United States – A History of the Republic, Triumph of the American Nation and The American Pageant. Loewen has argued his cases for Heroification, Euorcentrism and the first settlers, and Racism in our history. He has done this knowing fully that most people do not want to know the harsh realities of our nations past. The United States has tried to maintain a positive image throughout history. Unfortunately, it has many skeletons in its closet that need to come out to heal this great nation on many levels. If the public at large new the real role of racism in our nations infancy and how men tried to pursue their way of thinking as opposed to what is good for the country they would be ashamed at what the United States has stood for in the past.…
