I Can T Believe She Did That, Why Women Betray Other Women
A quote stated on page seven of Nan Mooney’s book, I can’t Believe She Did That, Why Women Betray Other Women at Work has a large effect on how women portray themselves on a daily basis. The quote explains that women are not raised to be competitive, whereas men are. Mooney then goes on to say that women are told they need to be generous and supportive to other females. Having this mentality from such a young age, women are often left feeling disappointed by their female coworkers when they feel they are being treated unfairly. Why should women feel as though they should receive special treatment from other women, and why is it socially accepted for men to be allowed to step all over women in the workplace?
