There is a problem that it will be affect the transportation in the future. Nowadays, most of people have cars which use oil as fuel. This situation has been causing to used up oil sources. Hence people are looking for different solution such as hybrid cars. The controversy regarding hybrid car is whether it is car of the future, or whether it is a unnecessary efforts for future cars. It is commonly argued that hybrid cars are very safe, yet hybrid cars do not provide good safe because of some conditions actually. It is the contention of the supporters of hybrid cars that they are safe vehicles because of some conditions such as lower accelerate power.
This situation helps the driver to control the car on the road and the risk of accident wil be decreased. However, there are some unsafe sides of hybrid cars like structural and electrical problems. Hybrid cars are lighter than regular vehicles and this will be a problem.
As article “Pros and Cons of Hybrid Cars” states, in an accident with traditional cars, they are probably to be driven away more lightly to compared the heavy cars (2009). Hybrid cars are controversial today because the hybrid cars still burn gasoline and emit greenhouse gases and they still have to use gasoline to power the battery. The hybrid only adds efficiency to the gasoline engine, instead of replacing it entirely. The hybrid car remains as a major emitter of pollution. While it may contribute less to global warming, it still contributes significantly. If people keep switching to hybrids over time yes the contribution towards global warming will less eminent, but it will still continue to pollute the…

Fuel efficiency is one of the main features that are looked upon when purchasing a new vehicle. Hybrid and electric vehicles have a much higher efficiency compared to any other regular vehicle. A hybrid car will only use gasoline if a low rotations per minute output is needed. A higher rotation per minute always needs more fuel. A electric car still needs to be powered and this can be done by electricity alone. This Electricity comes from plugging them into an electrical panel. These panels can be powered by hydroelectric, solar, wind, nuclear, and others. These sources are more clean for our environment compared to the amount of air pollution released by massive amounts of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines.…

Changes are being made in the designs of automobiles. These changes will certainly take time, considering it has been over a century for the gasoline combustion engine to become what it is today. In the United States, car companies have joined forces to develop newer cleaner technologies. The research on alternate fuel sources for cars began long ago, but it was not until 1999 that the first hybrid electric powered vehicle was sold. This car was manufactured by automaker Honda, and was called the Insight. An electric hybrid vehicle employs the operation of a small engine to assist a typically battery powered electric system. The electric motor propels the front wheels at low speeds, and then at higher speeds, the standard internal combustion engine takes over. When the engine is running, it automatically charges the batteries used for the electric motor…

Hybrid gas/electric automobiles use a completely different method of braking at slower speeds. Hybrid vehicles still use conventional brake pads at highway speeds, but electric motors help the vehicle brake during stop-and-go driving at slower speeds. As the driver applies the brakes by pressing down on a conventional brake pedal, the electric motors reverse direction. The torque created by this reversal counteracts the forward momentum and eventually stops the car.…
