1. What made the American Civil War the first modern war?
The American Civil War was the war that a society in the America against the other society, which it showed the policy conflicts between these two societies that they could not get alone well. By the Civil War happened, it awoke the government and the political leadership to use their ability to modernize the policy, society and economic resources to be able to keep up fighting to defeat the other society to show their development was better then the other.

6. What major policies did the wartime Congress pass that transformed the nation economic and financial systems?
Because of the American Civil War happened, the American government and the Congress had to make some changes on the nation economic and financial systems. To be able to raise he money, the government raise the rate of the taxes. Moreover, to be able to arrange and explain the bank system, the Congress created a system of nationally characterized banks. Also, the Congress established many military industries to produce some materials for the equipments to support the Union army.

9. In what ways did the outcome of the Civil War change the United Status in the world?
The Civil War effected and changed the United States in the world, after the war when Grant retired from his president career. He went on the tour around the world with his wife. Dueing the tour, many European countries looked at the Americans as a military genius and give them a name of as a “Hero of Freedom.” Moreover, they hailed them as the nation – builder and the hero who have saved the world. They also took them as the leading experiment of the democratic government in the world.
