They try to get all of the food and water they can get, but suddenly everything turns black. The lights are out and the power is gone.The hurricane starts coming. “Here are some candles.” my mom screams as she searches through cabinets and boxes. “I found a fan too!” My grandmother is panicking and grinding her hands into my mom’s skin. A tree crash lands like a plane on the ground almost damaging the house. My mom starts crying, my dad is frightened, and my grandmother starts panicking. “I think the storm is only beginning.” my dad sighed. The next few days were rough for us. It was hot and stuffy. We had little food, but just enough to last us the next few days. The house was slightly damaged, trees fell in the yard, and some things were missing. Luckily no one was injured or killed in my family.
“Hopefully the power will come back on soon.” my mom yawned as she woke up.
“We don’t have many candles left and the batteries that we have left in the flashlights could die soon.”
