Humans Are Naturally Evil
People Are Naturally Evil Jumana Satti

People are generally evil. When humans are children, they want all the attention and affection without having to share it. When they see their mother carrying another child, whether that child is a sibling or a complete stranger, most children will stop what they're doing and run over and start crying until they are lifted up and shown the attention that the other child had. Humans show signs of envy, jealousy and selfishness, starting at very early stages in their lives, sometimes before they are taught to talk or walk. It isn't until those children grow into toddlers or sometimes even older, that they are taught to be good. They are taught that it isn't okay to abuse or steal. They're taught to always say “please” and “thank you” and that when they see someone in need, they should help them. When in school, children are taught to play nice, they are taught patience, just because it is a virtue, that doesn't mean humans are born with it. If humans were naturally good, there would be no war, no genocide, no murderers. The world would be a peaceful place. However, as advertised on all newspapers; war, genocide, murder, and other acts of selfishness surround the world, if not consume it. There are people who know nothing but war, they aren't familiar with a world without death or explosions. Humans aren't taught to kill, it's per-programed into their minds, there isn't someone or something that “teaches” them to kill, they just know. Another example is how humans love to see others in pain, they don't like it when someone is doing better than them, that's why there are bullies in the world. Humans are naturally envious, jealous and manipulative. There are hundreds of television shows that are nothing but 30minutes of watching people falling and getting hit in the face. Humans find other humans peoples' pain

Good and evil are polar opposites, yet one cannot exist without the other. To understand this intricate relationship, one must have a clear understanding on what exactly good and evil are. These two are not always so black and white, but good can be defined as acting agreeably with societical and personal values. Evil can be defined as going against those values. However, as societies and humans differ, so do their moral codes. What is seen as good in one society or time may be seen as evil in another. Two more factors to consider are intentions and actions. They are two separate entities. Actions are seen, and judged, by everyone else, but intentions are known only by the doer. This is why there is no clear-cut line between good and evil.…

Since the creation of the world, humans have been falling into darkness and evil, as displayed in stories like Adam and Eve. All humans-beings have the potential to become evil, which usually comes from self-centered wants. When people go down the path of doing whatever it takes to get what they want, they end up hurting others along the way. Evil tempts everyone on a daily basis, but it is the choice whether to reject temptation or give in that exemplifies who someone is. When humans repel evil, the good shows through and their actions have a positive impact. Surrendering to evil is the easy way out, but will lead to darkness and destruction, and make it almost impossible to find a way back to the light.…

Throughout human history, people have shown through many ways that they possess the ability to exude pure evil (or some form of it). There are a few exceptions to this vile display, however it is nearly impossible to deny that everyone possesses it. I believe that humans are bad because they attempt/commit acts of murder and violence (and in some severe cases genocide) and are obsessed with power and self-improvement.…

The first reason as to why I think people are evil is the Soviet Union's former leader and dictator, Joseph Stalin. Joseph Stalin ruled Soviet Russia during the World War II era. He was born December 18th, 1878, and died on March 5th, 1953. When Stalin was a young child he had gotten into an accident with a horse drawn carriage that made his arm shorter and stiffer. Later on he was rejected to join the Soviet army because of this injury, thus igniting his first interests to start rebelling against the government. In his rebellious times he was imprisoned eight times, and was considered an outlaw to the Russians and had been exiled for a time. When he got out of exile he managed to gain the trust of Lenin. While others didn’t believe his allegiance…

Our world consists of good and bad which affect people’s point of views. Because of this they have tried to concoct explanations as to why humans are capable of doing the worst of evils, these are two of their theories. All humans are inherently good, all humans are inherently evil. The theory that humans are inherently good is one of many favorable lies people choose to believe, to lull themselves from the inconvenient truth. What some don't want to accept is the unflattering truth of human beings.…

Studying the human psychology is an unresolved mystery. There is a huge debate on whether people are born good or evil. Psychologists, philosophers and scientists try to reach a crucial point in this issue. However, it is still highly debatable. Especially in the modern times, there are some people claiming that there is some evidence shows that we are born evil. This evidence includes scientific research, psychological studies, and the Christian idea of original sin. On the other hand, there is another opinion that says that people are born good. Their evidence includes theological studies, psychological research, and logical argument. It seems that there is more evidence for the second position over the first position. According to Islam,…

While people like to think that humans are built to be inherently good, that is not necessarily true. Humans’ minds are wired to indulge in matters that appeal to their own benefit. In Plato’s The Republic, there is a section in which Glaucon uses a story of the ring of Gyges to illustrate the natural unjust of people. He claims that no man, given the opportunity, would reject the chance to do injustice without punishment. I agree with Glaucon’s perspective. Humans would do absolutely anything if they couldn’t be held accountable for their actions.…

There are many reasons/examples as to why I think humans are naturally evil. The first human instinct is to survive. Greed is a thing humans are born with, based off this ancient survival instinct that has frequently taken to extremes. Humans are also quick to hate others for believing or preferring other things. I see all the time on the Internet, people hating on each other because they like/use/prefer other things, like the console wars, a constant argument between PlayStation fans…

Evil is a dark and powerful force that can result in destructive consequences within societies and around the world. Some humans are capable of diabolical behavior without feeling remorse or compassion. Daily we are inundated with news of barbaric behavior which pushes all boundaries of the moral code known to mankind. Although the process of evolution has instilled a modicum of civility and humanity in us, science and research have provided undeniable evidence that we are naturally born as evil beings.…

Many people would say that men are inherently evil, but the truth is, people are good, this is quite easy to prove, if someone does a good deed for someone, it will feel good on that person’s part perhaps more than on the receiver’s part. Mankind is good for many reasons, one of which being how people strive to persevere for one another. People also for some reason all feel the need of something to follow and/or believe in. regardless if you are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, atheist, Darwinist or even criminal, who aren’t really “good” but they do follow something in order to be better in terms of wealth or greatness. Manners, a whole set of rules that we follow for no reason; if people thought about it, with no manners, there would be no such thing as rudeness. People may be very violent, but no matter what someone does, they are good somehow.…

Time and time again, we have choices given to us by whatever- or whoever it is that looks over us. When these choices are presented to us, we are expected to pick the right one. As human beings, we know our definition of wrong and our definition of right. We know the difference between right and wrong, what and what not to do. There is the obvious possibility that our morals contrast from others, but there is also the possibility that others just do not care enough to follow their morals. It is because of that, that human beings are inherently evil. The world is inherently evil because time and time again, the human race has chosen it over being inherently good.…

Being evil doesn’t always mean doing awful things. Being evil can mean saying bad or mean things or even thinking those things. Innate human evil is evil that is natural and born into the human body and mind. Sometimes, people can’t help evil things that they think, but can help what they say and do. In Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare, he uses Cassius’ and Antony’s actions and thoughts to show its easy for people to let evil get the better of them.…

Society as a whole can be evil or kind, but people show evilness in modern society more often than kindness. Everyone has a decision whether or not to do something evil, but people choose to do the wrong things because they have a thoughtlessness attitude, and their inconsequential feelings of others. People display evilness in modern society and examples include the Newtown shooting, the suicide of Tyler Clementi and the Ponzi scheme Bernard Madoff started.…
