Human and Natural Environment
PROS
Animals belong in their natural It will be sad for the animals to be lock down in cages and zookeepers abusing them and not growing in there natural habitat habitat in the wild. It is a breach of their natural rights to take them by force into captivity for our own purposes. Aquatic animals do not have enough water, birds are prevented from flying away by having their wings clipped and being kept in aviaries captivity for our own purposes.
Who are you to say that animals do not have rights? They are creatures that feel pain, and are able to think to some extent.
Animals also have life. They can live only in their natural habitat. They also have right to live freely and get enough food, water and air. Instead of keeping them in zoos we can keep them in national parks and sanctuaries where they live in there natural environment ,hunt themselves to get food, and depend on themselves for living.
Would you like to live in a cage and be stared at all day? I don't think so. How do you think animals feel? How would you feel? Think about it, living in a cage surrounded by humans staring at you. I think it is a cruel place.
Animals in the zoo are forced to breed and that is a really cruel thing. Imagine it yourself, would you like to be forced to breed? I do not thing so.
Whatever the good intentions of zoo-keepers, animals in zoos suffer. They are inevitably confined in unnaturally small spaces, and are kept from the public by cages and bars. They suffer psychological distress.
Nearly all of the animals in zoos have either been bred in captivity or need to receive medical attention. Animals born and raised in zoos do not have the survival skills to be let out into the wild and have had nothing taken away from them. ress, often displayed by abnormal or self-destructive behaviour.
Animals in zoos could get a disease from a human or verse visa and it could make them extremely sick or worse, It could also kill them if it is a bad disease. Hey, they might have 24 hour care but the vets might not be able to help them from the disease. It could lead them to getting awfully sick until the sickness wears off or it could make them so sick that it eventually kills them with an excruciatingly painful death.
How would you feel if you were told where to eat, where to go, how to act. Being showed off to other people instead of your lives being private. Having to do tricks. Animals belong in the wild. Humans aren't just enclosed to just one place. We have space and make our own decisions.
Animals should NOT have to be kept in a cage just for human's entertainment. I love animals but I strongly disagree with the idea of keeping them locked up in cages and in small areas that we make look like their natural environment. It's lying, cheating and just plain cruel. Now just imagine that you're an animal. One beautiful day, you are playing with your parents and someone run and take you away. It is totally kidnapping. If humans will be sad when their child is being kidnapped, why wouldn’t animals be?
Animals belong out in the wild, not in cages. Zoos also don't have enough space for all the animals, so the poor animals pace back and forth just to get exercise. what kind of life is that. I mean how would u like to live in a cage your whole life and not have a lot of room to run around and play?
I know that lots of animals’ habitats are in danger. But have we ever thought of who started it first? The answer is us, humans. If we had not been chopping down trees all over the world, the animals can still be living happily there in their natural habitat.
Animals are also living things that should have the same rights, having freedom and do their own things which we human beings do. It is cruel to lock them up in a cage, instead of letting them to live their way they want in the wildlife. Some might argue that it is use for wildlife conservation, preventing endangered species from going extinct. But, in fact, the percentage of endangered species in most zoos is probably a small 3-5%? So, why cage them when their lives could probably be better in nature?
I know that the enclosures for the animals in the zoo is quite big. But how can an enclosure be compared with the vast forest. Which one do you thing will be bigger?
It is cruel to keep animals in zoos just for the entertainment of people. It may be cool to see a gorilla up close but they are being held in areas far too small for them and in environments that aren't normal for them. Animals also have emotions like humans and people can see that animals and zoos and not happy.
Animals do need to be kept in zoos. They can be looked after and cared for there and given as much as the natural environment that they are used to. Most of the animals that are in zoos would not be able to survive in the wild once they have been in the zoo.
They have emotions. They cry for their young when they get taken away, as they commonly are in zoos. They get bored when locked in a cage one thousandth the size of their natural habitat. Statistics show they die younger in captivity. It is immoral. Animals are taken out of the wild to be put in zoos for our entertainment, nothing more. Those currently in captivity should stay where they are, because they could not survive in the wild, but no more should be bred for zoo life, and no more should be removed from their packs in the wild.
Keeping other animals locked in cages for our entertainment, or even education, is immoral. They should be allowed to roam their native habitats freely. Imagine being taken from your homeland and living the rest of your life in an enclosed space for the amusement of others. Zoos are completely unethical.
Animals should not be mistreated just for human entertainment. It is wrong that they are caged because humans want to see exotic animals instead of having to travel to foreign countries. The human mind is programmed to find the simplest way to do something and in this case zoos are the easiest. People should get off their lazy butts and go somewhere.
Zoos are miserable places for animals. They don't give animals sufficient space. Animals suffer and die in zoos. Zoos are connected to animal circuses where they hurt the animals. Animals are taken from the wild and put in zoos. The animals don't sleep in zoos. Now, the animals aren't allowed to do whatever they want.
As much as zoos offer education, they still keep animals caged up and perform funny tricks for us so that we can laugh at them outside.
Animals do not deserve to be locked up and looked at. They need to have the freedom to choose where they want to be. They have feelings too. The wild is where they feel at home not locked in metal bars, that's scary for them. They are not just artwork on a wall.
Animals would probably be happier in the wild, using their learned instincts, and not wanting to die while in captivity. The only thing some monkeys and parrots do all day in zoos is to groom themselves till they have no fur/feathers left. Why? In the zoos they are provided with food, causing them to do nothing and lose their hunting and natural ability.
Animals shouldn't be kept in cages they need to roam free. The reason why they are running out is because we are sticking them in cages and they want to escape from the enclousures so badly thus they are getting depressed. How would you like it if someone came and locked you in a cage.
Animals like lions need soft grass to run around but the zoos give them hard floors and even starve them before performances just to make them jump around to get food and create laughter among the audiences.

CONS
Animals need good treatment and by keeping them in the zoos they get that good treatment and food. But giving them food without the need for them to hunt, they will eventually lose their hunting ability.
Although animals in the zoo can also increase the revenue for the tourism industry thus stabilizing the country's financial standards. But have we ever thought of animals being kept in cages and having people staring at them all day long? Have we ever thought of the animals’ feelings?
Although animals are more safer in zoos as they will be hunted down by hunters in the forest, zoos will cause animals to contract weird dissease thus causing them to die earlier.
In the zoos they get daily food and are cared for. Zoos are a place where animals are protected, they also provide educational help for kids to learn about animals. But the animals still should not be locked up in cages just for humans amusement.

Visiting the zoo is a fun family activity that 175 million people do each year (“Zoo Statistics”). However, the animals in the zoo are treated horribly. As a kid, visiting the zoo was one of my favorite activities. I loved watching the animals and spending time with my family, but as I grew older, my joy of the zoo diminished when I realized what was happening to the animals. The mighty tiger that was once strutting across the grass is now a dreary, unhealthy animal that walks aimlessly just to pass the time. Many animals die an unnatural death because of the treatment they receive in zoos and the lack of space reserved for them. Zoos promise to bring in animals that are either endangered or unhealthy; however, a remarkable number of animals…

Zoos are like internment camps and should be shut down. Animals deserve the right to live out their lives in their natural habitat, not be the source of human entertainment. Zoos are more detrimental to animals than they are good for them, even though there are conservation efforts and educational purposes for having animals in captivity. The negative aspects far outweigh any positive effects when it comes to having animals in captivity due to poor living conditions, failure to educate, and psychological trauma.…

Zoos appear to be fun, but as you get more in depth are they what they seem to be? If animals could talk they would answer that question with “no” but, they cannot. So, instead of them telling you the horrors of zoos, I will. In zoos, animals are forced to live in a small area and have to learn to adapt to a new lifestyle. Some animals suffer from serious problems that they would most likely not experience if they were not in a zoo. Zoos affect the animals wildlife, their natural behavior, and zoos cause injuries and deaths upon animals and humans.…

I, like many children, have been to zoos when I was younger. Upon visiting zoos, I have decided that zoos are very cruel to keep animals caged up, often in regions and climates very different from their natural habitat. For example, elephants travel for miles in packs, when in zoos there are only several elephants with only several acres to walk around.…

For many years people have debated whether zoos are bad or good. There is the debate about animal cruelty to some extent because the animals are locked up in a cage where they have no freedom. And the other one is how animals in captivity is a good cause due to the dangers that are present in the wild now in days. These two points are an endless debate in which both sides are equivalent to each other. Yet I strongly believe that animals in captivity have more chance of survival than if they were released back into the wild.…

Zoos. As young children we adored them, peeking into the monkey cages and staring in awe at fully grown tigers and lions meandering around. It was such the experience to be able to be so close to these animals that usually lived thousands of miles away. Even now, it is pretty inspiring to see an elephant less than a hundred feet away. However, the actions of zoos keeping animals in captivity have become questionable. According to “What’s Wrong with Zoos” by Amy Whiting as well as the “Blackfish” video and Dave Granlund cartoon, many times, the animals are not given enough space in their cages and are lonely away from others of their species. In addition, when zoos attempt to re-introduce them back into the wild, it often fails because the animals…
