HR Planning
Human resource planning is the systemic set up or approach of an organization to achieve optimum use of its most valuable asset i.e. human resource. There are many external factors which plays impact on planning of HR department. Considering the Pride Group we have come out with some of these impactful factors.
Government Regulations: Government laws and regulations have always played an important role in HR planning of Pride Group. These types of regulations influence every process of the HR department, including hiring, training, compensation, termination, and much more. As for example, children are not allowed to work in garments according to the existing laws, so HR management of Pride group maintain an age bar of 18 years while recruiting.
Economic Condition: One of the biggest external influences is the shape of the current global economy as well as the county’s own economy Not only does it affect the talent pool, but it might affect your ability to hire anyone at all. At the time of global recession when there were less demand in global market, Pride group’s hiring policy had to be changed.
Political Condition: Sometimes, Political changes bring about changes in legislation which results in changes in HR planning. At the time of political unrest, HR may need to change its pre-ordained strategy as other factors are not remain as planned. Changes in hiring strategy of Pride group during the time of pre-election political unrest can be inferred in this regard.
Technological Advancements: A job that used to take 2-4 people could be cut to one done by a single person with the introduction of advanced technology. To operate within the new technology sometimes it is necessary to hire new specialized skilled people or to train the older employees to cope up with the new technology. For example, when ERP were introduced for the first time, HR hired new skilled employees so that they can use this new technology.
