1) INTRODUCTION
Human resources information systems have evolved since the 1980s from relatively simple computer applications to virtual vaults of sophisticated human resources information and processes. HRIS also is the name of the human resources discipline for HRIS specialists and other human resources professionals involved in the technology for employment and personnel matters. An HRIS is used for employment actions such as applicant tracking, performance management, attendance, compensation and benefits management, work force analyses, and scheduling.
A human resource information system (HRIS) is an information system or managed service that provides a single, centralized view of the data that a human resource management (HRM) or human capital management (HCM) group requires for completing human resource (HR) processes.
A Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is software or online solution that is used for data entry, data tracking and the data information requirements of an organization's human resources (HR) management, payroll and bookkeeping operations. A HRIS is usually offered as a database.

1.1 Hrmis In Malaysia
In Malaysia, Human resource management information system (HRMIS) is introduced as one of the seven flagships under electronic government (EG) projects. It is an effort to provide public servants with an integrated system for human resource information management.
The Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) was developed in line with the human resource management vision, ‘To be the leader in the Development
And Management of Human Resource in Order to Achieve the Government’s Vision.’
This vision was decided upon during the seminar, HR Function Visioning Workshop for
Senior Management, which was held on 21-22 June 1999. This aim is in line with the government’s vision to become a developed nation by 2020.
