How Will I Know By Whitney Houston
In 1985 Whitney Houston released her number one single “How Will I Know.” Lyrically the song tells a story of a girl who is wrestling with the question of whether the boy that she likes will really love her and if what she feels is really love for him. Her friends tell her that love can be deceiving and she is hesitant to reach out to him.
In the chorus of the song the girl asks her friends “How will I know and they tell her “Don’t trust your feelings” and that “Love can be deceiving.” But still she asks “How will I know if he really loves me.”
All of us feel the need for love. God created us with the need to be loved and wanted. He created us out of His perfect love for us. All too often when we feel His call of love we are hesitant because of fear. We are bombarded with a myriad of questions

If we do, He promises that He will always do what is best for us and that He will love us forever. But Satan rules over the world and spreads lies and fear that only serve to murder us and keep us from the salvation, joy and blessing of being Gods’ child.
The Bible is a great testament to God’s love for us. In the pages of His Word we find the answer to the question, “How will I know.” The proof of God’s love for us is found in what He has done, from our creation to His ascension we can see His perfect love and desire for us.
Before we start looking at these proofs, there is one fact that we must accept. Jesus is God and He created the world. I know that the concept that God as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is all one and yet they are three can be very confusing and hard to understand logically. But the Scriptures are very clear that Jesus is the Word and He was with God in the beginning and is God and all that all things were created through Him. We could spend all day arguing this point, but whether we understand how this can be true or not the fact still remains that God is all three and yet still

To understand God you must first get a decent understanding of the bible. The bible has been translated from the original languages of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. It now exists in every language known to man. It also remains to be the best selling book in the world. In the book they ask the question, "Why is this book so important?" (Pp. 47). Well to fully understand that question, you have to know what the bible entails. The bible is divided into two major parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The word Testament means covenant. Both books are extremely different. However, they both help develop a better understanding of faith.…

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations." (Deuteronomy 7:9, English Standard Version) Here God is described as a faithful God, and one who will always love those that love him, and follow his word. This is such a powerful verse and really speaks to the faithfullness of God to his people, here it shows that God is obligated to us, that he must love those that love him. I think it also shows that he is bound to look out for us because he is our "faithful" creator, and that as the creator he is obligated to look out for us, to satisfy us, and provide for us, and ultimately look out for us enough so that we may seek him out and follow him with out Faith. That creation of the Covenant is the ultimate example of God's faithfullness to us as it takes out all mystery and makes things most certain for us, and shows his commitment to us as a people, because of the covenant we know all the cornerstones of His divine government. The many 'I wills' in Deuteronomy cover everything that we as a people might need in both the past, present, and future. There is no avenue of life that we can venture to where we can not find God, and he has given us clear definition of His heart and intentions by his word and covenant. God's love in Deuteronomy can…

    Who Can We Trust Analysis

It seems as though many religions make us feel like we should focus on God as something unfathomable and what Williams calls a “completely alien intelligence”. We aren’t supposed to understand him, so we instead focus on what separates us, instead of the relationship that it creates. Unfortunately this doesn’t build trust between us and our Creator. Williams tells us that there are many reasons to trust God, but specifically two reasons. One is the fact that he gave us Jesus up as a sacrifice and to live on this earth. He shows us through his Son that he made it possible to see that God isn’t hiding anything form us, his purpose is unselfish love. Williams says on page 10, “At the heart of the desperate suffering there is in the world, suffering we can do nothing to resolve or remove for good. There is an indestructible energy making of for love. If we have grasped what Jesus is about, we can trust that this is what lies at the foundation of everything”. The second part is that God is complete fullness. He makes the point that anything we do will not make God love us, no amount of good or bad will change his mind or his love. God doesn’t forgive us because we’re good, but we’re good because he forgives…

God Is Love vs Sonnet 116

“Love” has been experienced, examined, converted for entertainment, manipulated, shaken, and stirred innumerable times through the ages, as humanity attempts to reign in the profound concept. Mankind was created to participate in a love affair with the Creator, and even those who don’t believe in Him still feel desire for the love only He can provide. With regards to Christianity, the fact that “God so loved the world” seems to be ingrained in the church, but His love can nonetheless feel intangible and semi-present. Therefore, when God’s love feels distant–or is not believed in, people try to fill this ache through other means, namely each other. What is then found is an idealized love--created by people--which mimics the love of God but focuses on the satisfaction of the individual. Shakespeare’s “Sonnet 116” represents this secular vision of ideal love, but as Benedict XVI reveals in “God is Love,” it is ultimately only a shadowy, reflected image of God’s passion that cannot be fully manifested amongst sinful people.…

At the center of a lot of different religions, there is love. Even though many of those religions have different definitions and meanings of love, it has always been a universal concept that is very easy to grasp. Winthrop gives great conclusions of love. “Love is a real thing, not imaginary.” This is obvious because like many natural characteristics, love is a part of our human nature. We love even without realizing it. He goes on to tell us that love is necessary in being apart of Christianity. Christianity is about loving others as Christ loves us. How can you be of the Christian religion and not love? Winthrop then goes on to tell us the characteristics of love; how it is divine, free, active, strong, courageous etc. He tells us that the scripture tells us that the love of the God of Christianity is ultimately satisfying.…

There are over half of a million words in the English vocabulary, and words can be arranged into billions of combinations. Despite this wide range of combinations, many forms of artwork have titles with the same combination of words. There are numerous songs that are given the same title. Furthermore, some of these duplicate titles fall into different musical genres; however, there is an occasional pair that belongs to the same genre. One popular example of this coincidence are the songs “Let Me Love You” sung by the two artists Mario and Ne-yo.…

The world has been changed, corrupted, and damaged, so people often ask themselves “where is the love?” as demonstrated in the song “Where is the Love?” by William Adams, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Gomez, Allan Pineda, Printz board, Michael Frantantuno, George Pajon Jr., and John Curtis. “Where is the Love?” is the best song because the lyrics, figurative language, and rhetorical devices teach a great message. The song laments on various worldwide problems throughout the song. The many issues discussed include but are not limited to terrorism, U.S. government hypocrisy, racism, war, and greed. With so much animosity in the world, no wonder people often wonder if there is still love. This song tells its listeners that all of these dreadful events need to come to an end.…

Beyonce uses pathos, the first of the three appeals in her song by using very descriptive phrases. When she states, “I’d listen to her, `cause I know how it hurts,” Beyonce is telling her audience that she understands what it is like to be hurt, and that if she were a boy, she would treat her women better because she could understand where she was coming from. This tugs at the listener’s heart because you can see that she has been emotionally hurt from a past relationship. Also, many people can relate to what she is disclosing. It is human nature for people to get emotionally damaged in a relationship and therefore her feelings are empathized. She also uses syntax by the way she orders her words by telling a story. If the…
