Background Information
Brook Supplies is a small family run hardware retailer situated on the
Glenhugh Road in Ahoghill. The business was set up 10 years ago by Olive
Logan and her son Darren. Brook supplies specialises in hand and power tools, garden supplies, home accessories and general hardware. Various makes are sold by the business including Stanley, Silverline, Clarke, Rolson,
Marksman and Green Jem. Currently the business has only a few employees, due to the small local customer base it serves.
Problem Definition
Currently Brook Supplies relies entirely on word of mouth to advertise their business, as they do not have any form of print based advertising. This is sufficient for attracting local costumers but they now feel it is time to widen their customer base in an attempt to stay competitive with larger hardware suppliers. They plan to do this by advertising on the website; this will increase the number of people viewing the advertisements and should attract a larger customer base to the business. As Brook Supplies is a small family business, their future is not financial secure in these times of economic instability, therefore a larger customer base will help to guarantee their survival.
Purpose Of Website
The website will be set up so that customers can view the wide range of products in stock, without having to visit the shop. However, the website will also be used to advertise the Brook Supplies catalogue and to give contact information such as address, telephone number and e-mail address.
User Requirements
Below are the user requirements of the proposed website.
Target Audience
The target audience of my website are those who use tools on a daily basis, such as tradesmen and construction workers but also DIY enthusiast as well.
This will probably be males from the age of 18 onwards. Therefore the content will have to be detailed enough to inform the users substantially. This means

The term first-listed diagnosis/condition is used in the outpatient setting in lieu of principal diagnosis, once again because of the timing. Often, diagnoses are not established at the time of the initial encounter in the outpatient setting and it may take two or more visits prior to a confirmed diagnosis. The documentation to support the reason for the visit should describe the patient's condition, using terminology that includes either specific diagnoses and/or symptoms, problems, or reasons for the encounter. In the instance where a discrepancy is discovered, determining the first-listed diagnosis per the coding conventions of ICD-9-CM, as well as the general and disease-specific guidelines within ICD-9-CM, will have precedence over the outpatient guidelines.…

    Coding in Grade School

I recently watched a video that struck my interest. It was a video created and funded by a foundation named Code.org. The basic premise of this video is to show how important coding was for several founders of multi-million dollar companies such as Microsoft (Bill Gates) and Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg), and how coding is not taught in grade school. Because coding is a specialized skill and requires specific instruction, it is not a course that would be offered to kids in grade school. The reason the CEOs of these companies made it big were because they had access to computers and resources and their craft was unique; something kids of the 70’s and 80’s lacked. In the present world where most information can be found with the click of a button, it makes it easier for kids of the newer generations to learn coding. Who knows what kind of innovations the future kids of the world hold as potential in their hands and mind? With that being said, it is essential, that in the near future, public and private schools implement coding in their curriculum in order to broaden the knowledge of the future kids of this fast-moving technological era.…

An appropriate education must be meaningful, but a school district is not legally obligated to provide the best possible education available. Id.; see also Watson v. Kingston City School Dist., 325 F. Supp. 2d 141, 144 (N.D.N.Y. 2004).
