How To Write An Essay On The Outsiders Movie
The Outsiders movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola in the year 1983. The author of the Outsiders is S.E Hinton. I think that the movie was intriguing. It had most of the plot but it was very short and cut out a lot of the scenes that were in the book. If they hadn’t cut out as many scenes as they did, it would have a better movie.
The actors that were cast for the movie did a very good job; they captured the role of their character, and performed consistently. They played the role of their characters successfully, and because of that; the characters in the movie took on the persona the characters in the book.
One of the creative elements in the Outsiders is their clothing. The clothing that the Greasers wore were old clothes which were dirty; their outfits typically included jeans and jean jackets. The clothing the Socs wore was very nice and clean clothing. They mostly wore

I would change that scene because it doesn’t really show what happened. The scene goes from where Ponyboy is being drowned by a socs; But then it cuts to the scene where Ponyboy is laying on the ground trying to breath, and Bob is laying next to him dead. I would have describe more what happened in that that scene.
A movie that I would compare to the Outsiders is the Maze Runner. I would compare the Maze Runner to the Outsiders because it is also about teens; they have to survive in a maze through the good and bad, and by the middle, two sides have turned against each other, much like the greasers and the socs. In the Maze Runner someone on each side is like Johnny and Bob.
The rating I would give this movie out of ten would be a seven because the movie was good but it was not as good as book; I say this because the book is great and the movie cut out some parts of the book that are very good. the movie also did not get the whole plot in one hour and thirty-one minutes. That is why I give the movie seven out of

S.E. Hinton was only 15 years old when she wrote this extremely detailed book. I liked her book a lot because of how much detail she put into it. I didn’t like the movie a lot because I was kind of expecting it to be a lot like the book but was disappointed when it left out many different parts of the book. While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the book was more effective in telling the story.…

“Ponyboy, listen don’t get tough. You’re not like the rest of us and don’t try to be…”-Two-bit Matthews Page 171. The Outsiders is a novel written by S.E Hinton in the 1960’s, the novel is based on a true story. The story is about Ponyboy, a teenager that belongs in the gang called Greasers. There is another gang that opposes the Greasers called the Socs. The two gangs live in two sides of Oklahoma, the Greasers being in the east, and the Socs being in the west. The Socs and the Greasers often fight each other. To society, the Greasers are low class and cause trouble, while the Socs are rich and can do no harm. Ponyboy dramatically changes throughout the novel, he starts to wonder if he should model himself to the members of his gang or follow his own path. There are three reasons to support my thesis statement.…

The outsiders movie and novel have many differences and similarities. I have only written about two of each but it is always fun to go back and look for more There is a hug variation between the two, the tiny details were precisely the same. The Outsiders is about a group of kids that are all different some are greasers, which have the leather jackets and the slicked back hair, and there are the Socs, they are the rich kids of town and are more dressed up then the greasers are. One way that the book is different from the movie is that the movie didn't say anything about Sodapop, the main character's older brother, wanting to get married to a girl when she is out of school and in the book there is a few pages about how much Soda loves…

However, The Outsiders movie was very interesting, the novel portrayed the story line better in my opinion. For one the novel is more detailed such as when Johnny got jumped by Bob and three of his Soc friends, but the movie does not. Also, the novel describes in chapter 4 page 53 that there is a swimming pool at the park but they movie shows nothing about there being a pool there. In addition, the novel also states when Dallas Winston takes Ponyboy and Johnny to Dairy Queen they sit in the Restaurant, but in the movie, they do not. Lastly, those are the few reasons why the novel is better than the movie.…

The Outsiders is about 2 gangs, the Socs and the Greasers. The Socs are the rich kids from the West side. The Greasers are from the East side, they are considered juvenile delinquents by other people. One night two Greasers (Ponyboy and Johnny) talk to some Socs (Cherry and Marcia) at the movies. Later that night, the two boys fall asleep in the lot. When Ponyboy runs home, his brother and guardian, Darry, slaps him and Ponyboy runs away to find Johnny. A big fight happens between the boys and the Socs at the park, which eventually gets to the point of Johnny killing Bob. In the end the boys go hide out in a church for a week. A fire happens at the church and the boys run in to save the children inside. Johnny gets fatally hurt and in the end he dies. I learned that even if you do a lot of good, sometimes bad karma still comes around.…

The Outsiders is both a great book and a great movie. Although they are both very great, they are not completely the same, or completely different. A book that turns into a movie usually has way more information because the person writing the book isn’t just going to make it a movie line for line. The movie “The Outsiders” doesn’t work like that though. The book and the movie are about as close to line for line as you can possibly get. They have to add some scenes in movie to explain the thinking of the characters, but they also have to subtract scenes from the book to shorten the movie. The book, The Outsiders, and the movie, “The Outsiders,” are alike in many ways.…

In my honest opinion I did not like this book and I do not recommend it. The story itself is magnificent but the fact that it is 100% based off of the movie makes it pointless to read. They could have thrown in more deadly obstacles to face and made it worth reading. Overall it had more weaknesses than strengths. Strengths I can give is that if you haven’t seen the movie, then the book could definitely give you exactly what you’ve missed out on. It is a great story and is more than your average adventure tale. Reading it really does make you feel like you were a kid again, running around and being creative.…

Ponyboy gets out ok, Dally burns his arm, but a huge piece of wood falls on Johnny, breaking his back, and burning him badly.
