How To Write A Book Report Of Mice And Men
Of Mice And Men was written by John Steinbeck in 1929 during the great depression, before WWII had started. It stars two poor, working class men, Lennie and George and they struggle to get by. The men move from farm to farm in search of work. Lennie is aged 30, but has a special needs condition that gives him the maturity and mindset of a six-year-old. He is mentally just not there but he's strong as an ox. George is his cousin and even though he is fairly intelligent and could be better off, he chooses to help lennie out because he promised his aunt he would watch him. Their only dream is to buy a little house and have about a acer of their own for it to sit on. But before they can get one they have to make enough money. They finally get to a farm that is worth working even though they were a day late and at the beginning they hit it off. The boys meet a man named Candy and another man named Crooks and Lennie tells them about their dreams and how they don't have …show more content…
In the beginning it started kind of slow but it it quickly picked up. It was very cool interesting how the author used the men to show how the majority of people actually had the live in that time period. Also i think it would not of been as great a story is lennie wasn't special because since he couldn't think for himself, gorge thought for him and it was much easier to follow because its like u only have to understand how one person thinks even though you're reading about two different mean. The challenges that they face are amazing because it's so easy to imagine. They went threw things that a person would probably go through like having to walk everywhere, sleep outside with only a fire keeping you warm, living off limited food and that's why it's so realistic. I did not talk about the end of the book because didn't want to spoil it but it was the perfect way to end it. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to adventures, comedy or just a great

The 1930s novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck was written during the Great Depression, a time of many financial complications and hopelessness for the American population. It takes place in rural northern California in the town of Soledad, which was where the author grew up. Steinbeck uses his memories and recollections to paint an incredibly vivid landscape in each scene mentioned in the story. Of Mice and Men follows the seemingly futile journey of George Milton and Lennie Small on their quest to make a better life for themselves. Getting to their goal does have its complications, however. Even the differences between the two main characters cause conflict. Along the way, they come face to face with difficulties including an overly flirtatious woman, a violent, pugnacious man who happens to be the boss’s son, and Lennie’s inability to realize his own strength. Steinbeck nearly perfectly creates an atmosphere that conveys mood, reveals theme, and builds dynamic characters.…

Of Mice and Men is a popular short novel that was written in 1937 by the author John Steinbeck. The novella is about the story of two farmhands, George Milton and Lennie Small, who have dreams of one day owning their own farm. The motion-picture adaptation of Of Mice and Men, released in 1992, is very similar in most aspects; however, the endings of the book and movie differ from each other in a significant way. The ending of the novel Of Mice and Men includes a scene where George, after killing Lennie, is comforted by Slim, a kind man at George’s ranch; be that as it may, the motion picture does not include this scene, and this obscures the intention of the original work because the movie’s exclusion of the scene where Slim offers his friendship…
