It would be much higher if those people were included in the numbers. The number could continually lower if Illegals were not taking American jobs. Over 45 million people are living in poverty which is approximately 14.2%. The influx of illegal immigrants entering the country, will only raise the poverty and the unemployment rate. Illegal immigrants cost the United States too much money.
