How to Make Oreo Stuffed Brownies
Purpose:
At the end of my speech the audience should be able to properly bake Oreo stuffed brownies.
Introduction:
Picture yourself at your next family function. It’s a holiday and everyone has been waiting all day to see what desserts will be set out. When a tray of brownies is placed on the dessert table, many hands will reach out and unsuspectingly grab what they believe to be a normal tasty chocolate treat. Imagine their surprise and delight when they take a bite and discover an Oreo hiding inside. Today I’d like to show you how to properly bake these Oreo stuffed brownies. I found this recipe online at pedersenfood.blogspot.com, where Michelle Pedersen has posted over 150 different recipes. These brownies won me 1st place out of 42 entries in the last cook off I entered, which is where I received this apron and oven mitt. I will be going over what ingredients are used, how to prepare these brownies, and finally how to bake them.
Central Idea:
Oreo stuffed brownies are easy to bake and can add excitement to any dessert table.
Preview:
I will be demonstrating the proper way to prepare the brownie mix, how to coat the Oreos, and finally how to bake them together.
Body:
I. Ensure the kitchen is properly set up for baking. A. Make sure that all surfaces are wiped clean before beginning to bake. B. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
C. Gather all of the ingredients needed, making sure you have measured out what needs to be measured. Different brownie mixes ask for different ingredients. I chose Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate fudge brownie mix, which require ¼ cup of water, ½ cup of vegetable oil, and 2 eggs.
D. Pull out a few cupcake trays, and spray them generously with cooking spray to ensure that the brownies do not stick to the pan. Cupcake trays are ideal for this dessert because they create the perfect single serving.
Signpost: Now that everything has been setup, let’s move on to preparing the brownie mix.
II. We’re going to prepare the

First, you will need to get the equipment and ingredients you will need to make the Oreo Truffles. There are several pieces of equipment that are necessary: a Ziploc bag, baking rolling pin, blender, a bowl, 2 spoons, microwave, baking pan, and a cookie sheet. The most vital part of this recipe is the ingredients. The ingredients that you will need are 1 package of Oreo cookies; you can get the regular or double-stuffed cookies, 1 package of 8 ounce Philadelphia cream cheese; however you should avoid fat- free because it can alter the texture or taste of the truffles, and 1 lb of semi-sweet chocolate or white chocolate chips. For the ingredients you’ll need your favorite brownie mix, soft butter to grease the pan, two eggs, ¼ cup of water and ¾ cup of vegetable oil for cookware. You’ll also need a metal or glass pan 13”x 9” and a mix bowl. Next, preheat your oven to a temperature of 350F. Grease the bottom of your glass or metal pan with the soft butter. Then put the brownie mix into the mixing bowl. Put the oil in first and mix it in with the brownie mix and stir with a spoon. Next is the egg; put the eggs in the bowl and continue stirring the mix some more. After that is the water. Put the water into the mix and stir. Keep stirring until the mix is blended well. Pour the mix into pan and spread lightly and evenly until all of the mix is in the pan. Put the pan in the oven and set the timer for 30 mins. Once the brownies finish baking, refrigerate for 15 mins or until set. Then cut into bars using a knife coated with no-stick cooking spray.…

Process: 1) Take the ice cream out of the freezer and leave at room temperature for 30 minutes so it can start to soften ( this is so that it makes it much easier to work with ). 2) Line a 9 inch spring form pan with some plastic wrap and set aside. 3) Line the inner edge of your pan with a row of Oreo cookies, also line the bottom of the pan with Oreo halves. 4) Place rest of the Oreo cookies in a large zip lock bag, and smash them with a rolling pin until the cookies become coarse crumbs. 5) In a large bowl mix together the ice cream, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, walnuts and the Oreo crumbs, reserving ½ cup of the crumbs for the topping. Mix everything together well to combine and add mixture to the pan outlined with the Oreos. Level out the top of the cake and top with the reserved Oreo crumbs and if you like, some caramel sauce. 6) Place the cake in the freezer and let it set for 4 to 6 hours. *When ready to serve let the Oreo cookies on the side of you cake be the guide for even slices and also beautiful presentation. You could top the cake with more chocolate or caramel sauce but it’s so perfect as it is, you don’t need to go through the extra step.…
