How to Make Homemade Pizza
HOW TO MAKE Homemade Pizza INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE HOMEMADE PIZZA: Dough: 1 ½ cup of luke warm water 1 tsp yeast 1 tsp sugar 2 ½ cups of flour 2 tsp salt (This will make two pizzas, we refrigerator one for up to a week so we can have pizza any time) Pizza Sauce: 1 tsp salt 1 tsp ground pepper 3 gloves of garlic 1 tsp of lime juice 1 tsp of our everything spice Mozzarella cheese (as much or as little as you like) HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE PIZZA: First we are going to make the dough for the pizza, we use the same recipe as our bread dough, Video #4 To start microwave 1½ cup of water for 30 seconds to get the right temperature and then pour the water into a bowl and add 1tsp of yeast and 1tsp of sugar. Let this rest for 10 mins to allow the yeast to activate. After the timer goes off add 2 ½ cups of flour and 2 tsp of salt, knead the dough until it starts to stick to itself and not the bowl. Then place it in an oiled container for 2 hours to rest. After two hours the dough is ready to cut in half and shaped into pizza crust. We refrigerator one half of the dough so we can have pizza later in the week. Shape the dough by working it with your hands, press it outward to slowly shape a circle. If you are not comfortable tossing the dough just use a rolling pin. Be careful not to overwork the dough or it will tear. Set that aside. Now we are ready to make the pizza sauce. Use 1 standard can of diced tomatoes and drain off the excess liquid. Pour into a blender and add 1tsp salt, 1tsp ground pepper, 3 garlic cloves, 1tsp lime juice, and 1tsp of our everything spice. Once the mixture is fully blended you are done! Now slice or grate your preferred cheese, we like mozzarella on our pizza.

Spray a pizza pan or a cookie sheet and place the formed dough on the pan. Smooth the dough out and then add your pizza sauce. Now place the cheese slices on top and any other toppings you may like. Before the pizza goes in the oven put some olive oil on the crust to help it brown

While preheating your oven, prepare the dough! Combine the 2 ¼ cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt in to your small mixing bowl. You won’t be using these right away, just set that aside while you prepare the rest of your dough. Now grab a large mixing bowl, add 2 sticks of butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and beat the four ingredients with your hand-mixer. Once the ingredients are well mixed together, crack the eggs into the mixture, one at a time. Beat the mixture until it is blended enough. Take the small bowl of dry ingredients, and slowly add small amounts into the already blended bowl. What you will be doing is adding a little, then using the hand-mixer to blend, little by little, until the dry mix is gone. Now you have the cookie dough. But wait! You have one last step! You can’t forget the chocolate chips! I tend to add the whole bag when making this dough, but feel free to add as many as you may please! Once you have added…

Once you have prepared your kitchen you can get started on the recipe. First pour a pound of whole pecans and a teaspoon of cinnamon into the food processor and grind them to a fine chop. If you do not own a food processor you can purchase finely chopped pecans and hand mix the cinnamon into them; however, I do recommend the food processor method because you can chop the pecans to a nearly dust-like consistency. Set the cinnamon pecan blend aside while you start to prepare your dough.…

    My Italian Family Dinners

The most important component to my Italian family dinners is my sauce. I start my sauce by putting some olive oil in the bottom of the pot and sautéing some fresh garlic. I then add some veal, beef cubes and pork spare ribs that I have seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. I let it brown on all sides before I add in three cans of crushed Italian tomatoes and two cans of tomato sauce. I add some parsley and some Italian seasoning mix (oregano, basil, rosemary). I let this simmer for about four hours. I taste it after a couple of hours to see if it needs any sugar because the tomatoes might be a little bitter. If needed, I add one-two tablespoons to my sauce and let it cook for the remaining two hours. Usually, I make my sauce the night before the dinner. I have to follow each of these steps in order for my sauce to turn out the way my family likes it. I believe my sauce is the real reason my family loves when we have these special family dinners.…
