How to Live a Healthy Lifestyle
A very good morning to my English teacher, Mr Lee and all my fellow classmates. Today, I am going to give a speech about how to live a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is one that allows you to enjoy more aspects of your life in a more fulfilling way and is very important in our lives.

The most basic way of living a healthy lifestyle is to exercise. Physical activity is essential to healthy living, it stimulates the body's natural maintenance and repair systems to give us strength to stave off injuries and increase the mobility in our muscles and joints. Another necessity to living healthy is to eat healthy. What you eat can directly affect how you feel physically, your mood and even your mental clarity. Basically, a diet that is low in salt, fat, unprocessed foods and high in fruits, vegetables and whole grains is the best way to eat. Reducing stress is another way to live healthily. Stress happens when our lives go out of balance physically, mentally or emotionally. To get rid of this stress, one has to take charge of one's thoughts, emotions, tasks and enviroment to rebalance his or her body.

Living a healthy lifestyle can help us fight off diseases such as diabetes and high cholesterol. It also helps us gain more self confidence, more energy to do work, keeps us feeling younger, maintains our day-to-day happiness and increases our lifespans. In my own experience, I have a relative who used to drink a lot of cola when she was young and finds it difficult to walk now. Her former way of living has affected how she is now and she regrets it very much.

In conclusion, a healthy lifestyle is not trying to avoid one illness after another, or just trying to not feel as bad as you normally do. It is about saying yes to life. We should all live a healthy lifestyle as it can let us live a longer, happier and more productive life. That is the end of my speech, thank you for listening.

Making up a chart of days to exercise along with a healthy diet and sticking with that chart can prevent our bodies from developing such diseases later in life. A lot of people believe that just because that they are young means that they can eat unhealthy and not exercise and later on in life they can start trying to eat healthy and exercising then they will be okay. That is not true. It can actually put a person’s body more at risk to having diabetes, heart disease or any other terrible disease. Physical activity and nutrition are partners when it comes to sustaining better health. Being active increases the amount of calories burned. As people age their metabolism slows, so maintaining energy balance requires moving more and eating less. To help a person to get in the routine of exercising can be challenging but with the help of the environment, it will not be that difficult.
