how to get through my school day
Let’s take a detailed walk into my school day. This essay will give you a glimpse of my school day and what I do everyday. I will guide you through my classes, and introduce you to my teachers and friends.
I start my day at 7:00 am. I crawl out of my bed, turn off my clock, and use the bathroom. Then I look at the text messages I received while I was asleep, and afterwards, put some clothes on for school. Next, I go and brush my teeth and wash my face, then put some lotion on. I sprint downstairs, get something to drink, put my shoes on then run to the bus stop to catch the bus at 7:28 am.
The school bus arrives in the parking lot at 7:45 am, but we must wait until the bus driver opens the door. I get off the bus and walk to the eight grade entrance and as soon as the bell rings I go through the door at exactly 7:50 am. I go to my locker and get my books for 1st and 2nd period. I look for , my good friends and classmates.
I go to my homeroom with . I sit at a table with Sean, Tyler, Phillip, and Sam. I check to make sure I have my school supplies and then talk to my friends. We stand for the flag salute then sit down and wait for the announcements. After the announcements I leave and I go to for Spanish. Each day we are given a worksheet with new words in Spanish. I learn about different Spanish speaking countries such as Spain, Argentina, and Mexico. After Spanish it’s off to for Social Studies. I sit next to Blake and before class starts we talk about what we did the night before. In Social Studies, we learn about Colonial life, the Declaration of Independence, and the Revolutionary War. Sometimes we watch videos about famous historical people.
My next class is math, or should I say Algebra, with . Before I walk to class, I go to my locker to get my books for 3rd and 4th period. I meet up with Alex Kim and we walk into class together. Everyday we have a Problem of the Day (P.O.D) on the board. I complete the P.O.D and talk with the

Today is perhaps one of the most important days of my life. It is the day I take my placement exam that determines which major you will be put into at the higher learning institution. Shakily I finish getting dressed for the day, I am adorned in a pair of navy pants and a grey button up with the number 84 on the cuff. Each year the society gives a number to every child born. I was the 84th child of the year so that is the number I was assigned, many of my other classmates have number ranging from 20 to over 200. I slip out of my room and jog to the end of my hall barely catching the last lift to the 97th floor where the test is administered. Not everyone gets invited to secondary school, for 75% of the world primary is the end, they didn’t pass, and would be taught trade jobs with little opportunity for advancement. Due to this pressure of the test looms over me and the memory of leaving my mother and family take over my mind almost daily.…

These past few years at Lionville Middle School have been some of the most memorable and exciting parts of my life. I came to Lionville Middle School from Shamona Creek Elementary. Shamona Creek elementary was much smaller than the gargantuan, new middle school. Also, there were so many more students and teachers. I expected the middle school to be filled to the brim with classrooms and I was correct. Some of my first memories here are quietly coming into the school and looking for my classroom. I did not even know where to go or how to get there. All around I saw kids getting to their classes right away, while I was stuck in the hallways. Fortunately, I saw a friend and followed him toward my new classroom. When I got my new locker, I had…

Of course, I was expecting him to say something in Spanish, but shockingly he spoke to me in English. Without hesitation, I responded to him and we quickly became close friends.…

As I went to all my classes I met new people. I started to make more and more friends as the day went on. I learned a lot from the teachers like I had to have all of my materials with me at all times. Pencils, pens, a novel, and the supplies need for class. “It’s too much for me to remember! I hate it!” my friend told me once in the hallway. “It’s not like it’s harmful, it makes us more responsible. I like it to be honest.” I answered her. I learned the rules for every class and tried to remember it all. I learned to walk to the right in the hallways at all times, to make sure I have a pencil case with at least three pencils, there is a lot more but I want to keep this story rolling! The teachers have to be treated with plenty of respect. They have so many kids in every class. It’s hard for them to keep up with everyone and they need to keep an eye out for some of the kids. Each and every class is magnificent and I’m sad as a hungry grasshopper to think that I’ll be leaving their classes and start 7th…

Growing up we all looked forward to starting high school, but how many of us enjoyed every bit of it? High school was a moment that I looked forward to; thoughts of doing what I finally wanted to flood my mind. In June 2008, I received my GSAT result and was delighted when I saw that I passed for the William Knibb Memorial High School; although a bit disappointed because it wasn’t on my top five list. High school was not everything that I expected. In a few days, I met a few nice people. The first week of school was amazing, but after a few weeks things started getting intense. High school; however, was no bed of roses, especially when it came onto the subjects, reports, and school rules.…

As I step off the yellow school bus, I looked up at the big, brown brick elementary school. Kids were everywhere. I was excited. The night before, I could hardly sleep. I kept getting up every five minute, afraid I might oversleep. I felt like the big man on campus, but in reality, I was the little man on campus. I was about six years old and so tiny among the older children. I was taken to the cafeteria, where all the kids were to find their teachers and walk to their homerooms as a class. I found my teacher. She was a middle-aged Caucasian woman with blonde hair. Her name was Ms. Bishop. She was nice. The bell rung and we walked in a single file line to our classroom for the next couple months.…
