How to Be Cool

How to Be Cool (For Guys) Alright so do you want to be cool? Have you always been looking for some guide or tutorial on how to get others to look at you and say, “Man, he’s cool?” Well here it is. If you nearly wet your pants and called your mother that you finally found a way to stop being called ‘nerd’ or ‘loser’ after coming upon this article, this just might not be for you. If you still have a little speck of hope left that you may have a breakthrough and come out as ‘cool,’ then listen up. It’s about that time to un-tuck your shirt, put on a pair of dry undies, and reschedule your action-figure play date; you’re on your way to becoming… cool. First, determine where you stand in the social pyramid. Obviously you are not at the top, so at least get an idea of how close or far off the ladder you are climbing towards. In a jungle, are you nearly a tiger or a little worm avoiding being stepped by monkeys? If you are known for being in the group that still safety-pins their tighty-whities to their pants, then you probably have to work a little harder. Now that you have an idea of where you are, you know how much effort you have to put in to reach your goal. Not only should you determine where you are in the social pyramid, you should look around and be aware of your surroundings. Know where certain ‘types’ of people are on the social ladder. Understand who is known for what and why they are seen this way. Once you have an accurate feel and judgment in knowing where others stand in the social pyramid, really look and study the behaviors and attitudes of those that are at the top. Take note of those that radiate ‘cool.’
Okay now that’s enough with the studying and examining. Now it’s time for the doing. If you are already well-known for being the ‘dork’ or ‘loser’ of the class, then this will be much harder as you will try to totally turn around this already-set-in title. If you’re lucky enough,

Cool kids supposedly have great lives and are cool for most of their lives. The nerds are shunned by their classmates and prefer to focus on their studies. You may choose being cool after hearing about their lives in school but later on the nerd goes to a good college while the cool guy flips burgers at a fast-food restaurant. After college the nerd gets a good job which he uses to get a car, and changes his normal attire into suits and no longer wears glasses. The nerd finally has a good life because he worked hard and the no longer cool slacker is stuck having the job at the fast-food place. The true meaning of cool to me is a steady dispassionate calmness and self-control. When I look around, teenagers at my age mostly are in a 'lovey-dovey' phase of their life. It is the best age for us to enjoy our life the most with colours and one of it is love. Having someone to love and care about you is one of lovely thing that will make you smile everytime you open your eyes in the morning, especially to find a message wishing a 'good day' for you. Right now, I am holding a grip of myself to not feel insecure about my lonely-forever-single life and yes, I am cool.…
