The telephone is a remarkable invention. The telephone was the new and improved telegraph, of the 18th century (Encyclopedia.com, 2000). The telephone, believe it or not, affected the United States in multiple different ways, good and bad. The telephone had ran most to all postal services out of business because people liked calling better than going through the trouble of writing and sending out a letter. Also, when it came to private business, calling was much better than mailing a letter. But the telephone also gave people jobs in the factories that made the inventions and the stores they were sold at.

It let online dating become possible, which has also helped many people in the world. The invention had struck the United States and made it to be better. But to some citizens, the telephone also had a bad impact on the United States.
