When the dwarves get entangled by spiders in Chapter 8, Bilbo rescued the dwarves by equipping his ring that allows him to be invisible and lure the spiders out to cut the dwarves free. If Bilbo didn’t come up with his intelligent plan, the dwarves would of died resulting in a failure to kill Smaug. Other complications is that Bilbo and the dwarves have to travel through the Mirkwood forest to get to their desired destination, but this forest is dangerous and proves to be a challenge to the group. The group spots a light and hear singing, so Thorin, the leader, investigates it and gets knocked out with a stone. Then Bilbo also got knocked out with a stone and after he woke up, the whole group is entangled by a giant spider, which dies from Bilbo’s fast thinking and his dagger,
