The United States was not justified in dropping these two atomic bombs because the bombs killed and injured many of innocent Japanese lives. The heat from the bombs were so hot that fires started. The fires burned down many houses and buildings. The first bombs that was dropped on the city of Hiroshima destroyed over 90% of the city. The second bomb that was dropped on the city of Nagasaki destroyed 2.6 square miles. Heat rays, radiation, and blast caused massive destruction and slaughter. At 500 meter from the hypocenter, the atmospheric pressure was powerful enough to collapse almost every single building and structure. Kitchen flames in houses collapsed by blast spread and destroyed houses. They had to make houses out of any material they could find such as few boards, with sheets of tin for walls and a roof.
