How Honor Society Changed My Life
My life started on December 13, 1999 In Ahoskie, North Carolina. I was born at 12 p.m. As my family would tell it was a very different day for everyone. I was my mom’s first born child and the same for my dad. I really don’t remember much about my childhood. The furthest back I remember is like 4th grade way back when I made my mother proud. I had straight A’s and I never had a single write up. I always tried to do the best I could to get through the years and I did well until the sixth grade. My fifth grade year was slightly bad but mainly good. In fifth grade I was in the National Jr. Honor Society also known as the NJHS. It was a group for the junior high successful students who believed in accomplishing many goals and those who had many dreams. I had great grades throughout 5th and sixth grade. …show more content…
She told me to follow her to the office. We arrived to the office and she told me to have a seat. I saw her head to her desk and started dialing the phone to call someone. What killed me was because she called my mother and, she told my mother that she was writing expulsion papers. I had never been in trouble before so I was kind of nervous. I was afraid to see what my mom said about it. Long story short I got expelled in sixth grade behind the wrong crowd doing the wrong things. I already knew that wasn’t the path that I wanted to take so I had to change my plan up. I decided to go stay in New York with my cousin for a while. I went to New York and to be honest I enjoyed it. New York is a place with lots of opportunities. I went to New York to find an opportunity. I went to create a new life. Thinking that I was getting away from trouble but the whole time I never noticed trouble is everywhere. So I stayed in New York for a while but, I also told my mom to register me for job corps. I looked into job corps and it had everything I needed. It had a High School Diploma and a Trade that I could invest further in

A member of such a society based on character, scholarship and leadership is one who can demonstrate these three tasks in their everyday lives. The ease of maintaining a balanced schedule whilst also upholding these characteristics may not be the simplest of tasks at times, even for the best students, although the drive to strive for this essence sets individuals apart from the majority. I believe that in my everyday life, I demonstrate these ideals and would heartily enjoy guiding others in them. To be exercise any of these qualities requires one’s own desire, a desire which I not only try to instill into myself, but into others as well. Being part of the National Honor Society would not only be an honor in and of itself, but an honor which is able to transcend its membership and let a person such as myself try to better the school, town, and familial communities by doing good in each of them.…

The four pillars of National Honors Society, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, have paved a path for me as a student and as a person. Scholarship has taught me to strive to be the best student I can be. I use scholarship to keep up with my school work and never give up when a class is hard. I always strive for the best grade I can get and I will stop at nothing until I reach my goal. I will continue to use scholarship as I go to college and pursue my dream as a pediatric dentist. I will study, I will learn, and I will never give up no matter what happens along the way. I use service when I volunteered to help my local private school. I was never asked to do so, but I felt as if I was giving back to a school that had done so much…

During my 2 years involved in the National Honor Society I've come to know and love the four pillars of this organization. These four pillars include: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Considering that scholarship is characterized as a commitment to learning, this pillar has taught me many things about the importance of knowledge. Scholarship has made me realize that knowledge is power, diligence and effort if key, and that you should do your absolute best regardless of the outcome. The pillar of service has taught me how to give back to my community. I have learned through the pillar of service that you should reach out and help anyone without compensation or recognition. The pillar of leadership has taught the importance of…

My parents had lived in Illinois their whole life and grew up there so when we moved back to Illinois it was basically saying that we were just going home. My name was chosen by my mom because she said that Danielle was one of her favorite girl names. She also said that one of her good friends name is Danielle and my mom told her that she was gonna name me after her. A couple days after I was born is when the first ever school shooting happened at Columbine High School in 1999 in Colorado. I share a birthday with Kassidy Steffen and Colleen Daniels. The first couple years of my life I honestly do not remember. My mom has told me stories about when I was a baby. When I was little I loved to help out and do whatever my mom was doing. From doing the dishes to making cookies I was there to help out. My mom told me that I was a momma's girl. I always cried when my mom left to go to work. I also had a big imagination and always like to…

National Honor Society is a beneficial experience to improve leadership, develop character, and help the community. I personally want to join Nation Honor Society because I would like to develop my leadership skills further, so I can benefit the clubs that I have officer positions in, help organize my community garden better, and help organize events for Frisco’s environmental organization for teens. I will be beneficial to National Honor Society because I will help come up with new ideas to support the school and community, and I will support my fellow members and their ideas. National Honor Society seems like a good experience that can help me grow to become a better leader.…

As an executive officer in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, each individual is responsible for a legacy project during the school year. I was responsible for SOS Children’s Village which is a foster care neighborhood that houses children that were abused, neglected and/or abandoned. Even though this was a one-day experience, I was thrilled about the opportunity to work with children as I believe that no child should be denied proper medical care and a healthy home. It is said that time goes by when you are having fun. This was true for our experience as we went four hours over time. I coordinated leadership and team building activities for the children in which both the volunteers and participants enjoyed. Who knew that in five hours’ strong bonds can be developed with a stranger that you might not encounter again.…

Since its establishment, the National Honor Society has been built upon the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Throughout the years, National Honor Society has upheld these pillars, and its outstanding club members strive to embody these values in every aspect of their lives. However, these four principles add up to become something much more over the course of National Honor Society’s lifetime -- its legacy. These four honorable tenets are what constitutes a legacy, and I wish to become an individual who represents all of these core values -- and more. I genuinely believe that I exemplify most of the qualities that National Honor Society values, and though I am aware that I am still lacking in some, I will work…

One day in seventh grade something wondrous occurred to me. At the end of the school day I was packing my belongings that I would need when I materialized at my house. Though while I was preoccupied, I espied something in my mailbox with my eyes suddenly. In matter of that fact, I decided to walk over to it. I slipped my hand through it and then grasped a letter. In result, my body very slowly went to my seat and I opened it. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I was accepted into the National Junior Honor Society. I was so thrilled that I was going ditzy with my adrenaline rising, at least in a fine way. I started cavorting up and down. My body could not stop jumping, vibrating with joy or talking about my news. So I told all of my friends in my class…

When I was a National Honor Society Member at my High School, we were able to work with a program called VIP Soccer in which volunteers played with and taught special needs children the game of soccer. It was actually my favorite event within our organization especially when we got to see how happy each child was and the smiles on their parents’ faces when they saw that their son or daughter was having fun. Eventually, I was so inspired by this movement that I actually started a similar program but at my local golf club. How I got this started was actually by meeting the owner of the golf club, and the parents of my teammates on my school golf team. After a couple of months of planning and talking to more interested volunteers, I was finally…

The year was 1989, late autumn I immigrated to the US from communist USSR leaving the life of tyranny and prosecution behind. As a young man full of hopeful optimism and desire to better myself in the free world. Pretty soon I realized that the western life which I only seen portrayed in movies is very different in reality.
