How Does Orwell Treat Animals In Animal Farm
Animal Farm Animal Farm shows how society functions by using animals instead of humans. At the beginning, Napoleon treats his followers fairly. He respected them first, but at the end, he treated them poorly. “Vote for Napoleon and he’ll fully take care of the farm,” (Orwell, Page 50) In the evidence, Napoleon treat the animals like citizens and let them vote for him.“Napoleon end of his speech with his usual cry of “long live animal farm” and after singing beasts of England,” (Orwell, Page 64) but later on when he gets more control of the farm, he makes them stop. It's important that they still sing the anthem because Napoleon still gave them the option to sing what they choose. Napoleon often mistreated the animals. Napoleon killed the hens and force them to give up their eggs.“On Sunday morning, Squealer approached the hens who had just come in too lay again, must surrender their eggs.” (Orwell, Page 76) He disrespected them by making them give away their chicks to be eaten. If they wouldn’t give away their eggs, he would force them anyway and then killed them. “He ordered the hens’ rations to be stopped and any animal that gave so much as a grain would be punishable by death.” (Orwell, Page 76) He forces the animals to let the hens starve. Napoleon mistreated the animals, and if they didn’t follow his orders, they could be killed. Napoleon started to act less animalistic more human. Page 76, “Napoleon acted swiftly and ruthlessly.” He, Napoleon, took away the hens babies and got rid of Snowball and got rid of Boxer because he thought that Boxer would inspire them to rebel again. As, for Napoleon, who doesn’t support the building of the windmill only because he believes the increase of food production is much more important. From the text that contributes his disagreement of the windmill, ‘’...then suddenly he lifted his leg, urinated over the plans, and walked out without uttering a word.’’ (50) From this quotation, it shows the type of personality that Napoleon has, the personality of a dictator because without a dictator's approval, nothing senses to them that catches their attention and only see it at as a waste of time that can be used for something else. On animal farm, there are many different kinds of representatives for Animalism in this book, and some may be with the acts of sycophants, socialism, or even persuasive acts to convince the animals on the farm, and running a farm was much more complicated on how the animals would think it would be. With the assistance of Napoleon, dictatorship helped the animals remember the importance of man because with Animalism, it became a communist-strict farm absolute no animal wanted to live for and their future…

Animal Farm, a novella written by George Orwell, is about a rebellious group of animals who take their farm back from Farmer Jones. Eventually, Napoleon the pig takes over because he is considered the most intelligent of the pigs, but the animals don’t know about Napoleon's cruel and selfish intentions. Napoleon and the pigs used fear, propaganda, and manipulation, similar to Julius Caesar, George Bush, and Hitler, to persuade the animals to willingly follow their tyrannical orders.…

Orwell's 'Animal Farm' is an allegory because it represents Stalin's rise to power in Russia. His dictatorship to the people of Russia is how Napoleon treated the animals on the farm. Napoleon the pig represents Joseph Stalin, the dictating leader of the Soviet Union. Napoleon tricked the other animals into believing he was the only one that wanted the best for them. He slowly brought the farm from a more equal state to a state where he was considered and treated as a king. He also murdered any of the animals who opposed him or stood in his way, without trial. Stalin did the same by consolidating power and expanding the limits of his role. He eliminated anyone who tried to oppose him. He organized a massive purge where "enemies" were imprisoned,…

In George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm” displays a society in a farm transforming from a utopian society into a dystopian society. Old Majors vision of a utopian society was successful after a win against their leader, however this perfect utopian society changes because of Napoleons gain in power, the inequality and human characteristics that the pigs had, these are excellent reasons on how Old Majors vision of a utopian society quickly becomes destroyed into a dystopian society. “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely” (Lord Acton). The novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, demonstrates multiple ways how power was abused during the time of the Russian Revolution. This book displays many parallels with history, for example, how the animals on the farm represent the people of Russia. On the other hand, the pigs, that portray the leaders of Russia, who wanted nothing but authority which lead to corruption. In interest of gaining more privileges and power, Squealer persuades the animals to let the pigs sleep in the beds using guilt and fear tactics.…

Certainly the ramifications of oppression and absolute authority are outrage and this is conveyed throughout Animal Farm. Old Major tries to convince them that the reason behind their servitude and despair is Man, because Major believes that "Man is the only real enemy [they] have" (Orwell 7). Through expressing his anger, Major criticizes the fact that Man does not lay eggs or give milk, "yet he is the lord of all animals" (Orwell 8). It is clear-cut that the animals are affected by Major's speech which urges them to obtain their freedom. Major's point of view is that "all men are enemies. All animals are comrades" (Orwell 10). From here, the reader can deduce that Old Major represents V. I. Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevic Party that seized…

I say this because the novel Animal farm has many connections to the russian revolution and joseph stalin. Napoleon basically put the other animals into slavery to build whatever he wanted like how Stalin put his people into slavery to build whatever he wanted even if it was completely useless. ”After his hoof had healed up, Boxer worked harder than ever. Indeed, all the animals worked like slaves that year.” This is important because he is working the animals way beyond their breaking point when they did break the animals didn’t know that they could take a…

Many conceptions of conformity swarm about, One being that it’s a shield in which people can hide. Others assume that nonconformity is the only way that the world will advance. In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, these issues are explored through the characters “the sheep” and “the dogs.” Throughout the book the sheep were mindless followers of Napoleon the tyrant of their farm symbolizing the unappreciated working class during czarist Russia . Along with the sheep, the dogs were napoleon’s ruthless killers snatched away from their parents at birth. On the opposite end of the spectrum lies a man named Derek Reynolds who is portrayed in the movie Save The Last Dance as an underprivileged, black, college bound student faced with many trails of opposition. The truth is whether or not you believe that to conform or to not conform…
