The Industrial Revolution was a period where countries became more rural and human dependence on machines grew. It originated in Britain due to high population number and access to coal and ore (Britannica Industrial Revolution). It took place from the late 1700’s to the mid- late 1750’s (History.com). The Industrial Revolution impacted society in many ways specifically industrial workers, women, and children greatly. New technology was invented and mass produced during this time. The invention of the steam engine to rid of water in mines sparked many other inventions. The telegraph, and later on the telephone, made communication easier and more efficient.
