How Did The Civil War Affect Us Today

With the civil war being a big impact on the U.S. today with as many colored people surpassing many obstacles throughout those years. Today many colored people still have problems sometimes, but not as bad as times were in the past in the time of the Civil War, where words can’t describe how life was as a colored person around that time. With this 4 year event effecting 34 states at first but ending off with 36 states being effected, life had changed quiet a little towards the major things that needed adjustment, but there are still minor issues that need to be solved.
To start off with the description of the event which is the Civil War, some information would be useful to know, probably somethings you may have not noticed. The Civil War
With the life of being a slave many knew that with the slave would get beaten at times for mistakes and any other reasons, while being in the frontlines they had been more abusive than they would at their plantation. Many African Americans had soon rushed to enlist in the union military all-black units to help fight the confederates to win the freedom of every single slave remained in the south. With that being said with the black soldiers helping still didn’t mean they could escape from harsh treatment and were free from segregation, which included them reducing pay and food rations.
After the Civil War it was time for colored people to gain identity as free people. The colored people were emotionally scared, and the transition from slave labor to free labor was difficult for them. As years went on colored people and whites had ended up trying to build their relationship towards each other up, and years from that event things have gotten better, it was harsh a while back though with racism, but the Civil War effected the U.S. and changed us.
