How Did Mccles Make That Prematurely End His Life
Logically I will begin to observe and examine the decisions McCandles’s made that prematurely ended his life. McCandles was for one dissatisfied by the way he was living within society, he would rather live as far away from our society then be surrounded by materialistic things and authority. Additionally, Christopher was alienated but the fact that people such as his parents did not understand him, however, loved him unconditionally. Christopher rejected materialism; when he leaves his parents and donates all his savings to charity, abandons his car and burns his money in the desert these acts lead to his believed ultimate

This story reflects the type of discrimination and racist police officer and a lawyer, which the lawyer try to cover up the negligence murder of this young boy. The scene that I am going to talk about is in (pg. 12), where Berta, Danny, and his friend KIKI are talking in the kitchen, when she sees them whispering and ask both how you get that TV. Danny respond Kiki’s is known to be as the “Chicano Robin Hood”.…

Chris had gone to the wild to find what he needed; thruth and peace. “Alex admitted that the only food in his pack was a ten-pound bag of rice…He had no ax, no bug dope, no snow shoes, no compass.”(5). He believed he would’ve been able to find whatever he needed with the limited amount of supplies he had. While finding his truth and new identity in the wilderness, he did it in a manner that eventually killed him. Like Krakauer said, “Unlike McCandless, however, I have in my backpack a 1:63, 360-scale topographic map…Exquisitely detailed, it indicates that half a mile downstream, in the throat of the U.S. Geological Survey.”(173). McCandless would have been capable of finding his identity, truth, and peace in the wild and coming out alive if he would have more…

He wanted to be like other noble authors like Tolstoy , Jack London, etc. To live up to their expectations. Such as leaving everything behind. He donated all his money to a charity. Then McCandless died being brave and different than other for believing what he thinks is right. McCandless could have lived on and tell his story if he survived none of his favorite authors died doing what McCandless did. Since Chris died attempting to do that he failed others see it as he died doing what he thought was right. He burned his money he had left in pocket why not give it to someone like how he donated the money or was it a fast way to get rid of a plethora of money. In my opinion McCandless is a narcissistic bastard not telling his loved ones that he will be off alone in Alaska.…

McCandless had a huge angry towards his father mainly because of his previous marriage. Walt McCandless was not a horrible father; he worked hard for his family and provided for them. McCandless mother worked with her husband as well, as a couple they worked together even though they had their ups and downs they put so much time into their financial needs to keep their family well stabled. Christopher McCandless had his own issues; it is hard for one to believe that just because of the mistake his father made can impact him tremendously. McCandless want on with his journey for two years without contacting his family. It proves that he had psychological problems developed against his family mainly and to the people he was close to but no the strangers he met on the road. The dangerous adventure he faced that ended his life involves the lack of good relationship with his family. As the authors G. L. Some cannot wait to become adults, while others wish nothing more than for time to slow down. Wanting to grow up and being forced to out of necessity have many different effects on a young mind. Christopher wants nothing more than to receive his A level math and be like any other boy his age. He has never seen himself any more challenged than other children, often thinking of himself as superior to them. Unlike the others, Christopher feels he thrives in solitude and loves to be on his own. “When I was asleep I had one of my favorite dreams... and in that dream nearly everyone on the earth is dead” (Haddon 198-199). Christopher has no realistic knowledge of how to fend or care for himself, but as far as he knows,…

I think McCandless died in a senseless way because he didn’t have any idea that he would die in the Denali National Park. He thought he was well prepared because he had lived off land for quite some time now in his life and thought he had all the materials needed. He was an intelligent young man and it was always his dream to live off the land in the Denali National Park. He thought he could lie with the few supplies he had, but turns out he couldn’t, and didn’t.…

In Miller’s “Following the Word” he writes about Chris McCandless and his journey into the wilderness subsequently leading to his death. Chris McCandless lived and breathed by what he read. McCandless became disenchanted with his life and made the decision to leave it all behind. He traveled to Mexico, California and ultimately landed up in Alaska meeting people along the way who he proudly talked with about the books he so believed in. In the end, McCandless dies after eating seeds that he did not know were poisonous.…

I agree with the main point that Shaun Callarman states, "Chris McCandless was ignorant, but bright at the same time", by leaving his family and his education, he committed himself towards a life of solitude and emptiness. McCandless was not only ignorant, but he was arrogant about changing his lifestyle, he even had the nerve to leave his family behind without any notification about his departure. By leaving his family and his education, McCandless had committed himself towards a life of solitude and emptiness. McCandless was not only ignorant and careless, but he was arrogant about changing his lifestyle, he even had the nerve to leave his family behind without any notification about his departure. For a boy that was an intelligent High School graduate who was going to succeed in life, McCandless had made one of the most idiotic decisions ever, and that was leaving his success and family behind to die in the wild by a potato plant.…

As he progressed on his journey he ran into many scenarios of ethical checkpoints. He strived to become a person who was to be an example for others because of his brave decision to veer from the path of life intended. McCandless exemplified the idea that, “The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences” (57). This meaning that and McCandless advanced on his journey he had experienced many conditions that molded him into the person he became by the end of his journey, death. The death of McCandless held a impact and created a different view on if McCandless made the correct choice to go out into the wild by himself ill prepared. “It is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living to the fullest extent in which real…

Who was Chris McCandless? Some say that he is a legend and others say that he was nothing more than a boy who threw away his future. Is the only one to blame for his own death? McCandless was the type of kid who always questioned things; he desired to know more but refused to work for the answers. In elementary school, McCandless was placed in accelerated classes but because he was so stubborn he refused to listen to the teachers and do the extra work. All in hopes that he would convince his teachers he was not smart and he would be taken out of the accelerated classes. McCandless rarely planned or prepared for the future, causing him to be unprepared for his journey into the Alaskan wilderness. He traveled into the wilderness because he wanted to discover what was missing from his normal life. Through his journey he realized that true happiness is when you share experiences with others. Unfortunately he discovered this too late into his journey and when he tried to return back to civilization his route was flooded. He soon ran out of food which inevitably leads to his death.…

This viewpoint is incorrect because even though he was happy he was still really dumb for going out there to die without any food or good clothes to actually survive with. In the book Chris explains he needs help in a letter he wrote saying, “S.O.S. I need help. I am injured, near death, and too weak to hike out here. I am all alone, this is NO JOKE. In the name of God, please remain to save me. I am out collecting berries close by and shall return this evening, thank you, Chris McCandless” (Krakauer 12). He could have found happiness somewhere else instead of going into the wild and setting out there to die. In the story, Chris burns his money and leaves his car stranded in the middle of nowhere because he thought he did not need it anymore. Which was really dumb of him because he could of had a better chance at survival if he did not get rid of those things. It shows how Chris was not prepared to go out in the wild. He could have found happiness somewhere else instead of running away from his problem by going into the wild.…
