Al Capone was an American gangster who led a crime syndicate dedicated to smuggling and bootlegging of liquor and other illegal activities during the Prohibition Era of the 1920s and 1930s.
On January 17,1899 in Brooklyn New York, Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born to Italian immigrants Gabriele and Teresina Capone. Capone’s father was as a barber, and his mother was a seamstress.Gabriele and Teresina had seven sons and two daughters, of whom Alphonse was the fourth oldest.Capone’s life of crime began early as a teenager, Capone grew up in a rough neighborhood and was a member of two kid gangs, the Brooklyn Rippers and the Forty Thieves Juniors.Capone quit school in the sixth grade at age fourteen.

He was shot in a restaurant and his car was riddled with bullets more than once.
