I love basketball I mean… I love it, love it. When I play basketball I play with my heart even if I am hurting in my legs or arms it is so damn fun! I love the game because people assume that I was built for it because of my height. The best enjoyment I get from the game is when I block people and just to see their reactions and pump up the players or the watchers. That affects my mental well being because it boosts my confidence as I feel like i’m the king of the world. Sometimes my mental well being is affected negatively while playing basketball because I feel like an underdog in a game like the feeling where you see taller people who just stares down at you and think they gonna block me. Volleyball had a significant impact on my life. It really helped build my self-esteem and instilled a value of hard work and setting goals. I was never the tallest player, never the fastest, or most athletic but I did work the hardest and I had a leadership quality. I also loved the game. I wanted to play every second that I could. If I wasn’t playing I was training. My motto was the harder you work the luckier you get. I remember trying to explain this concept my second oldest sister, who was an artist and not very sport oriented. She was very adamant that you cannot just get luckier. That was my point, I still don’t think she gets it today. While in high school I was the captain of the volleyball team each year. In my senior year…
