Honesty In 'Christmas Hunt' By Borden Deal
In the story “Christmas Hunt” written by Borden Deal the theme is patience is alway the best. The author starts off telling us that Tom is excited because he’s ten and he thinks his dad, David, will let him come with on the big Christmas Day Hunt for quail. Tom gets all happy and decides to ask his dad, but his dad kept ignoring him, like he wasn’t even there. When his dad finally listened to him he asked his dad, “I’m 10 years old now, I’m old enough to come with you hunting,” but his dad shot him down by saying “no.” Tom was very upset but he wanted to prove to his dad that he could, so the day that his father was going to go hunting Tom took his 12 gauge and his father’s best hunting dog, Calypso Baby and set off to try to prove that he
