Fist: honesty in life
Honesty means that a person should be truthful and sincere in his words and actions
Honest expresses the truth with sincerity & without deceit. Honesty is extremely important when it comes to communicating with others. If your word is not reliable, it will less value to others. Honesty also helps build trust. Trust helps build and maintain personal relationships. An honest person is more likely to gain the respect of the public and obtain a positive reputation.
Honesty is one of the treasured values of human being. Living life honestly means opening oneself freely and exposing one's true self to others. Honesty is essential because it acts as the glue holding people together. Moreover, honesty helps a person to conquer problems and excel in his life. However, is this always right to tell truth?
Yes, it is. However, being brutally honest all of the time can also backfire on a person. There are situations when we inflict a lot of pain and stress on somebody else by telling the truth. For example, a doctor may not decide to directly tell his patient that the patient suffers from cancer and can live for no longer than three more months. The doctor chooses to keep it a secret because knowing the truth may affect the patient's mental health severely. Therefore, it is comprehensive that a person needs not to be honest all the time. Sometimes, he needs to justify what is the best resolution because not telling the truth, in certain cases, is the best way to protect his loved ones from being hurt.

Honesty is really the best policy because when one is being honest with others, they gain their trust and understanding. Honesty can be defined as “the quality of being fair and truthful : the quality of being honest” (Merriam Webster, 2016). Lies are told around the world multiple times during the day. Everyone sitting in this room has probably once today, said a lie. Sometimes lying is understandable for someone’s protection but sometimes the truth is essential to the person. There are multiple things people say in a day that are seen as lies such as “That outfit looks really good on you!,” “It wasn’t me!” and “I’ll be with you in a few minutes.” Honestly is not always the best policy because in the end it does not make everything better. People tell little lies so that they protect someone they care about and not hurt the feelings of another person. Honesty not always being the best policy is showed in The Scarlet Letter, “Tell All The Truth” poem, the “He Lies” video,…

To me honesty is just always telling the truth. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Honesty is the best policy.” In other words, honesty is the best thing you can have. One time I was honest and I got in trouble but it paid off when I got ice cream. Be honest and rewards will come. That is what honesty is to me. He also has perseverance.…

Next, being honest keeps trust with others. For example, Cohen states in the article, “It’s the Truth: Americans Conflicted About Lying” that “One key cost is credibility: Once a person finds out you lied, you lose currency in their eyes” (Para. 12). This shows how you should tell the truth instead of lying. This also shows how being honest keeps trust with others. Your credibility is not worth giving up for a lie.…

Not only does this make the organization more efficient, with…

Often, people say that honesty is the best policy and is defined as the act of telling the truth to the best of one’s knowledge. Coupled with the definition of honesty is the belief that telling the truth all the time is good because of certain reasons. Primary motive is that many consider saying the truth as an aid in improving one’s self. For instance, one project organizer asks one of the staff if the theme chosen for the occasion is well suited. Then, one of the personnel has the guts to tell the truth that a better theme is fitted for the event. The project organizer will then have a better idea, thereupon aiding to the betterment of the organized project. Likewise, saying the truth helps us to earn others’ trusts. According to Nathalie Himmelrich, in her article entitled Truth versus Honesty: Is there a Difference , even though the explanation of the word ‘trust’ does not distinctively take into account the word honesty, it is implied in the word. Similarly, stating what reality…

The ability to have honesty is to do the right thing even if it may be hard. Honesty starts with a vision of what is right, not based on what somebody says is right but on what you feel in your heart is right. A year ago, one of my best friends wanted to participate in a talent show at school. She always had a thing for singing and she sang all the time. Where ever she went she had a song in her head. Unfortunately she did not have the best voice to carry out her songs. So one day I sat her down before the…
