Homework is Ineffective, Illogical, and Unnecessary
Studies show that homework is ineffective and inefficient, so why have it at all?
Homework is not an effective or efficient measure in educating students for these reasons; first, when a student has a firm grasp on a topic, repeating the topic, or subject, so soon can confuse or over complicate the topic for the student; second, there seems to be very little correlation between homework and higher test scores; and last, homework can cause more conflict at home than it may be worth.
Homework is an unnecessary and ineffective way of educating students.
Although, some people might say repetition is a good thing, it’s really not; too much repetition too soon can be obfuscating, confusing or over complicating a topic, for a student. Homework advocates say that homework encourages the student to learn more about a subject than class time permits, but if the student really wanted to learn more about the subject they would research and educate themselves upon the subject on their own time and of their own free will. Homework just forces a student to learn more about a subject, and students who are educated by force don 't really learn instead they come to dread homework and learning. Homework does not seem to be worth the effort compared to what the student actually benefits from it.
There is very little positive correlation between homework and test scores.
Researchers have proved that too much homework can actually lower test scores.

Inundating children with homework may actually be detrimental; homework may cause ennui, a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction, in children which in turn lowers test scores.
