1-What recommendations do you have to improve resources for homeless all students at SAC?
The only way SAC can help a homeless student is for the student to come forward and state “I am homeless or in transition to get my own place.” The student knows he/she needs help but there will be a pride barrier in the way. For some, they will not know his/her options. It is imperative that SAC helps the student see the available options. These are community resources and the resources here at SAC. This will reduce the student’s anxiety, frustration, depression, and more. It will help the student feel as though he/she is not left alone and people are trying to understand them and their situation. Once when the student can identify with his/her options

One of the benefits a person has and will utilize is making choices. As of today, to change your current Major the student fills out a change of major form and simply goes to admissions with their ID and their major is changed. For many students they will forget they will need to follow a new degree plan and transfer plan. I have changed my major 5 times in 6 semesters and at no time had an advisor contacted me asking me what degree plan am I following or what transfer plan.
I recommend that if a student changes his/her major additional signatures are needed. The student fills out the change of major form. His/her advisor signs off on the form and a new advising session happens while the student is still with the advisor. Than the student takes, the change of major from and the Department head will sign off on the form as well. This informs the Department Head that a student is no longer in their department. If the Department Head is unavailable to sign off on the form may be another Department Head can give authorization. Than the form is brought to admissions and records to be

3-What suggestions do you have to improve SLAC Lab services? The SLAC Lab has many resources for students. The tutors are awesome and are currently in transition to become student mentors. I feel their mentoring program needs to be connected to SAC Orientation leadership Program. Combining both programs would aid more students helping students. It would be a great way to promote The SLAC Lab services if the programs were
