At 10:57 a.m on Monday morning, we met a young girl named Hannah Stevenson. Hannah has been doing the kind act of feeding the homeless people, who stay in the subways of New York, for the past 5 years. It all started when her mother passed away and she spent most of her time in the subways. The story of this generous little girl will have an impact on you for sure. Hannah is a 11-year-old girl, who grew up in the big city of New York and was always aware of the busyness of the city. When her mother passed away, she was surely devastated, but shortly after adjusted to the change in her life. “My mother always taught me to grow up and be a person who makes a change in this world.” Hannah explains to our crew. Hannah lives with her aunt now and has to take the subway to school. “I like taking the subway to school, but I’ve never liked seeing all the homeless people, who always seem so sad. So, one day
John is one of the people that are fed daily by Susie and Hannah. He wasn’t the only one to have said something positive about this act of kindness. Pretty much everyone in the subways knew of Susie and Hannah and were thankful for their act of kindness. We were impressed by this, since not many people are aware of how much the tiniest act of kindness can impact someone. Yet, Susie’s and Hannah’s act of kindness was not small it still showed people are good at heart. They took time out of their day to feed people and didn’t expect anything in return. We should all learn something after reading this story, because if we’re all kind to each other the world would be a better place. Don’t do the act of kindness for recognition do it for the happiness of the person receiving it. By doing so, it’ll make their day better and yours better by knowing you did such thing.
