Home Alone
One day the McCallister family prepares to spend Christmas in Paris, and gathers up at a friend’s house in Chicago the night before their flight. The burglar’s Marvin pretends to be an officer and come and check on the family because it was the house he wanted to burgers. Marvin and his friend had been breaking in some of the houses on the McCallister’s block and they wanted their house next. He try to get information from the family to see if they are really going out of town so he can make sure it’s safe for when him and his friend Harry break in. Eight-year-old Kevin, their youngest son, finds himself to be annoying to the family and believes that everyone hates him and his being treated unfairly. After getting into an argument with his older brother Buzz, he is sent to his bedroom by his mother where he says to her “he doesn’t want to ever see any of his family again”. Kevin mother tells him one day his dream will come true if he keeps wishing that. During the night, a power outage resets the alarm clocks and causes the family to oversleep. In the confusion the family rushes to get dress and pack their things so they can make it to the airport on time. As they get into the traveling van one of the kids miscount the kids leaving Kevin out. Kevin is left behind and the family does not realize it until they are already airborne. Once in Paris, his mother and father desperately try to book a flight home. Meanwhile, Kevin wakes up and calls out for his mom and dad when no one answers he finds out the house empty. He was surprised to find that his wish had come true. Kevin felt free to take over the house and do whatever he wanted to without being bossed around. He practices shooting with his brother Buzz's BB gun, jumps on the bed, watches a gangster film, and eats a large serving of junk food, but in the process accidentally wrecks Buzz's room.
