Holy Cross Research Paper
The time that I have spent at Holy Cross has been truly memorable. I have been attending this school for nine years. I have had a lot of great memories throughout my years at Holy Cross. I came to Holy Cross in kindergarten and my first teacher was Mrs. Montgomery. During my year in kindergarten I met my best friend Angelina. We met the first day of school and have been friends ever since. Since I've been at Holy Cross there has been four principles. The principals were Ms. Rosini, Ms. Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Perry, and Mrs. Ward. Each principal had their own unique personality and brought something special to our school. I have fond memories of each principal. As my first grade year was ending and with only two weeks remaining in school

Reality, truth, and knowledge can only be rationally and logically explained through Biblical Christianity because it gives moral absolutes and a basis to explain these things. While naturalism relies on human reason and experience meaning they determine what is right and wrong, reality, and knowledge by human intuition and experiences in life. Truth and knowledge become relative with the removal of God because they no longer have a standard set and therefore set humanity as there standards. Reality becomes what people perceive it as and it is your responsibility to make something of your life, and you become the focus of everything instead of living your life for God.…

Hurricane Andrew was, at the time of its occurrence in August 1992, the costliest hurricane in United States history. The fourth tropical cyclone and the first hurricane of the 1992 Atlantic hurricane season, Andrew originated from a tropical wave over the central Atlantic. Initially, strong wind shear prevented much intensification, though increasingly favorable conditions allowed the system to become a tropical storm on August 17 and a minimal hurricane six days later. After turning westward, Andrew entered a stage of rapid intensification, strengthening into a Category 5 hurricane near the Bahamas on August 23. It briefly weakened to a Category 4 hurricane over the island nation, but regained Category 5 intensity on August 24 before making landfall on Elliott Key and later in Homestead, Florida. Several hours later, the hurricane emerged into the Gulf of Mexico at Category 4 strength as it curved toward the Gulf Coast of the United States. After weakening to a low-end Category 3 hurricane, Andrew moved ashore near Morgan City, Louisiana. Interaction with land hastened the weakening process, and Andrew was downgraded to a tropical depression by August 27 while crossing Mississippi. The next day, the storm merged with a frontal system over the southern Appalachian Mountains.…

Shoemaker’s class I had recess. Since my friends and I usually didn’t get down to the gym fast enough, we didn’t always get a ball to mess around with. So we instead decided to stay in her class during that time. We had loads of fun creating memories upon memories that will never be forgotten. Memories like when we put on impaired driving goggles and stumbled over everything. Memories of us eating all her yummy peanut butter filled pretzels and asking for help on assignments. I had grammar with a different teacher but if I did not understand something, I would ask Mrs. Shoemaker. She would always explain the homework to me. Also, if I had to write an essay she would help me and then look over it for mistakes. Making me a stronger person today, Mrs. Shoemaker never let me give…

Although this did happen, it was not in the way they expected. They believed that someone, the Messiah (“the Hebrew word ‘Messiah’ means an anointed person or thing” ), would come and be their king and take them away from Roman rule and, as a result, bring Israel together. One of the many verses that the Jewish were basing their expectations of the messiah on was, “your house and your kingdom shall be made sure for ever before me; your throne shall be established for ever.” (2 Samuel 7:16). This can give the impression that a king would be sent from God who was like David: a king that would lead them, that they could follow, and enter the kingdom of God. They waited for the “Kingdom of God as employed by Jesus signified God’s victory over the…

Memorable teachers are not the ones, who are the most pleasant to their students, but they are not the toughest ones either, they are the one that make you work for your knowledge, and you appreciate it, naturally much later in life. Mrs. Wright was very kind, compassionate, and honest no matter what the subject was or how she thought we were doing in school. She would always search for ways on how someone could improve. She has the skills to make you want to perform better, and continuously work to improve. This teacher had the passion to teach, and loved working with students, wonderful and necessary qualities to hold. She was eager to do whatever it took for a student to be successful, and to succeed in his or her classes. She always had a positive attitude, and strived for success. She would always say hello, ask about your day, tell you to have a wonderful day no matter what the day bring or crosses your path. She knew, and learn quickly that I have test anxiety, knew I always studied for hours on end, knew I knew the answers too, but once a test was placed before me, my mind would go blank, still does to a degree. She taught me some great testing strategies, ones that I still use day. This teacher was very inspirational, and gave you the courage to strive for success. Something I hope to match in my teaching…
