Hologenome Theory Vs Natural Selection

The natural selection interpretation of a definition is the process in which a population has variation among individuals and a constant relationship of a specific trait between offspring and their parents. The better adaptation of the trait is the one that would have advantage and survive trough many generations. (Endler 1986). The hologenome is an extension of the natural selection because it also refers to holobiont as a unique identity. However, the hologenome theory defers from natural selection in the way that internal interaction would have an effect in its behavior, form and physiology but still acting as whole in evolution.
