Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second novel in the Harry Potter series. This book continues Harry Potter and his friends’ journey during their second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After coming home from Hogwarts for the summer, his miserable stay with the Dursleys makes him want to leave immediately. However while packing to leave, Harry receives a message from an elf, Dobby, warning him that terrible things will happen if he returns to the school. Ignoring this warning, Harry still makes it to Hogwarts where he is meet with a dark force plaguing the school with mysterious attacks. As a result him and his friends, Hermione and Ron, have to work together to uncover and defeat this dark force. …show more content…
As usual, they make his stay miserable by locking him in his room with no one to talk to except his owl, Hedwig. Harry wishes to go back to Hogwarts but the Dursleys won’t allow it. One day, Dobby, a house elf, appears warning him that terrible things will happen if he decides to return. Harry refuses to believe the elf and continues to pack to leave. In the middle of the night, his friends Ron, Fred, and George appear with a flying car stealing Harry away for the rest of the summer.
As Harry and the Weasleys go shopping for Hogwarts at Diagon Alley, they encounter the Malfoys and also Gilderoy Lockhart, Hogwarts’ new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. They then try to abroad the train at Platform Nine and Three-Quarter to go to Hogwarts however Harry and Ron are unable to. As a result, Ron steals his family’s flying car and tries following the Hogwarts train back. They land roughly in which they are caught and given detention and Ms. Weasley finds out and scolds

In his frustration, Harry even considers shooting Eddy because of what he predicts to be “grave danger”. Harry had 12 secret passengers being hidden inside his ship and If the broker or any authorities discovered a second man on board when the crew list indicates that Harry is alone, then his cover would instantly be blown and the 12 secret passengers would have been revealed in no time.
