Hiroshima Bombing Pros And Cons
In 1945 Japan’s world was shook upside down. The first Atomic Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima Japan. The United States dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. They also dropped the bomb from a B-29 plane. Hiroshima has estimated that 237,000 people were killed directly or indirectly by the bomb effects such as burns , radiation sickness and cancer. Hiroshima is located in Japan on Hiroshima Bay. This city was targeted because it had not been targeted during the US Air Force conventional bombing raids on Japan. Also the size on Hiroshima was very suitable for the bombing. It's an important commercial and industrial center area many important buildings are there. The project started under the name “The Manhattan project”. To Americans of the 1950s, war was something that took place in faraway lands. Few people had seriously faces the threat of death and destruction in their own communities. The Atomic bomb, however, changed that's comfortable feeling. With the bomb came the realization that devastation could come to them with no more warning than the wail of an air-raid siren. Some sought protection in backyard bomb shelters. Homeowners across the country were urged to install underground bunkers complete with supplies of food and water that would help them and their loved ones survive a nuclear attack.There were a number of models available on the market. Popular magazines included helpful plans for the people to be able to do it themselves. For those who couldn't do it themselves the government would provide tips on how to create a bomb safe area within an existing structure. So like the people with less money would work on going off the government tips. But the people with enough money just bought the shelter and got in it to protect themselves. Some people didn't get to do that and that's why most people died most of this
