Both religions interpret dharma differently but it can be broken down to the same basic concepts – that dharma is how you should live your life and that dharma is the order of the universe. It is challenging to try to differentiate between the two because they share so many points, like the concept of karma and the cycle of life and death. In both religions, the ultimate goal is to exit the cycle of samsara and reach salvation or nirvana. They both follow the teachings of holy figures, Buddhist’s being the Buddha and Hindu’s being lord Krishna among other gods. The Buddha isn’t worshiped as a god like Krishna is, he is respected and revered as a fully enlightened human being.
