Hillsdale Personal Statement
y presence on the Hillsdale campus would be both unique, and mutually beneficial. The former, embedded in my very being, would, surely, draw attention to my individual character but, would also place me within a community that, is accepting, and full of like minded, individualized students. Therefore, since I feel, socially, I will fit in nicely at Hillsdale, I plan on pursuing many student run organizations and clubs, to become a part of vibrant Hillsdale culture. In particular, there are a few clubs I have already developed an interest for. Namely, The Creative Writhing Lab, The International Club, The Lyceum, and, perhaps, even The Chess Club- although my skills would certainly need improvement to serve as a competitive opponent.

Whereas my uniqueness would offer a bounty of mutual benefits, my self-driven work ethic would also ensure longevity and strength as a Hillsdale Charger. Providing an explicit example of my work ethic would be a challenge provided the word constraint. However, the development, and eventual induration, of my exertion can be seen in my transcript- specifically the second half of eleventh grade through the present.

Attending the student involvement fair was a great experience. On the surface, the fair’s main purpose was to provide an outlet for students to engage in on campus activities that may strike their interest; however, I found it to be much more powerful than that. This involvement fair was not only a way to showcase Penn State and its nearly 900 clubs, but also a way to draw from each student interests and talents that may have been unknown to them. After attending the fair and meeting a several different organizations, I know that I have become a part of something bigger, and will be able to have experiences and be provided opportunities like no other.…

This work ethic that was installed into Ronnie from his youth helped further him along with his college career both academically and on the football field for Grambling State University. Ronnie graduated Cum Laude with a BS in accounting. He hoped to begin his career as a certified public accountant. He even moved to Texas to better his opportunities. Little did he know that he was on the road to greatness with a totally different career. It was in Dallas that Ronnie was denied time and time again on his search for a CPA position. He had to resort to delivering newspapers and Dominos pizza to make ends meet. It was while he was skimming the classifieds that Ronnie found a new career path. An ad for the Arlington police department stated that they were hiring. The idea of better pay and benefits appealed to Ronnie and he joined the force.…

Aren't you sick and tired of the school life in this dreadful private girls' school? Don't you want to have something fun and exciting to look forward to every single month? Don't you want to be familiar with those 'new faces'? At least, we do, and we believe that you do as well. We believe that every single private student would want to have a breathtaking and memorable year, which after decades when we recall our high school life, it will still be fresh in our minds. As an IB student, we should not only focus on academic works, but also on the extracurricular activities too. Because what an IB student should acquire at the end of these two years is being an all-rounded person. This will also be one of our goals as an Activities Coordinator.…

    Profile of a Person

There are a lot of people around Belmont University with different concepts, different goals, different experiences, different cultures, but most important, different methods of thinking. When I realized that I would need to write a profile of someone else, I thought it would be the easiest essay that I have ever done. Contrary to my expectations, I realized that to write someone else's profile is kind of hard, because it is not only a simple thing such as just write the entire life of the person. A lot of stuff is behind the profile of a person. When I first thought about who I should interview, I was kind of lost, because I do not know a lot of people inside Belmont yet, so I had the idea to interview one of my teammates from the soccer team. After thinking about it, I realized that interviewing one of my teammates would not be a very good idea, first because the majority or all of them have the same interests as mine, and are experiencing almost the same things as myself, and second because the thing that we most like in our lives is soccer, so it would be kind of boring to write about a person that looks like me in a lot of things.…

It is doubtless that the path of learning of every individual begins through the basic and compulsory schooling that each member of society is set to receive in his or her early years. My primary and secondary school years played a pivotal role in my formation. I attended a private school, and likewise, any extra curricular activities I took part in, particularly when it came to sport were held in a private manner, in a small group if not individually. After having completed sixth form, I had already set my sights on the undergraduate degree in Physical Education offered by the University of Malta. Perhaps being at University, and for the first time, in an entirely separate class and group to the peers I had spent much of my earlier years with, brought with it the realization, that society was essentially composed of different people, and that being sheltered within a group of peers that I had known since my first years of school meant that my undergraduate degree would be my first experience of mingling with other students from different backgrounds, from government and church schools. Luckily, it is in my nature to look beyond petty differences in background, and yet, even with a nature as non-judgmental as mine, I came to understand that a difference in background does in reality make for a difference in social values.…
