High School Year Transcripts
Transcripts I am satisfied with the grades that I have earned during my high school year. I struggled with math my junior year. The reason for it is because I transferred from two other schools my junior year which affected me by joining the class late and being behind everyone else that was in that class, but I tried my best and passed the class. During my senior year, I got home studies, I was not able to do all work from my culinary arts class because some of it was online also I did not have access to it but I lastly passed the class. I have always tried to stay focused in school so I can pass my classes without any problem. I believe this will help me in my future.

The reason my academics aren’t going well as you or I would like is because of the several family issues I’ve had to face during my high school career. It began my Sophomore year, I found out my mom needed surgery in her arm so the chances of her cancer spreading would be reduced. I was under a great deal of stress worrying about my mother, taking care of my four siblings making sure they knew everything was going to be okay, even though I wasn’t sure myself. It was all up to me; while my other brother worked to help with bills, my mom being in the hospital, and my dad working. Taking care of my siblings consisted of cooking, homework, cleaning, nightly routine, and putting them to bed. When the work was done it would be around 10 o'clock. It was already tough to buckle down and focus on homework without all the stress. With all this my first semester grade was less than great.…

When I first stepped into Anderson High School as a freshman, I was exceedingly confident in myself. I played sports, had gotten good grades, and planned to have an amazing high school career. Freshman and sophomore year were a breeze. If I am being straightforward, I did not focus much on my schoolwork. I did what was required of me and got good grades, but I did not go above and beyond. I had always been told by upperclassman, “It only gets harder from here. Enjoy it while you can.” Now I realize what that means.…

    I Just Wanna Be Average

A student’s success is hard to define because every individual has different ideas of what is success. Students usually think of success as getting a passing grade, but the schools could define it as students getting a high GPA, and a good citizenship grade, along with a lot of other standards. But schooling, let alone education, shouldn’t be focused on grades. Rather, it should be based on the life lessons learned from the subjects taught. Life lessons could include study habits, confidence to participate, and being punctual to class or job meetings in the future. A student’s success also can’t be forced by any type of authority and should be approached from a less traditional angle. The students are primarily responsible for their success…

In general, I would describe my ability in math as average. I did well in elementary, but middle school was when I started having difficulties. When I took math I, I mostly got B’s and C’s on my tests, because I had a hard time understanding the material, or asking the teacher if I needed help with a certain concept. Overall, I think my average grade for math would be a B, but I would like to improve this year and get an A for a final grade. My parents definitely contributed to my overall success. If I didn’t have their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I disliked learning trigonometry and graphing functions. I took math II online, so I wasn’t able to really use a worksheet and graph any problems for myself. I liked the substitution…

One reason why I feel that my academic progress went down was because I became new mom during my school semester and suffered a lot during and after my delivery due to personal reasons which effected me mentally and effected my focus towards my education. I struggled as a single parent with bills and was forced to work two jobs to maintain my bills and my household. I managed to get a part-time job to help with my expenses and was still trying to go to school, but as the bills mounted part-time work wasn't enough to keep me afloat. I had to start working full time. I tried to continue my schoolwork, but as time went on work took over my life and my education took a backseat. I didn't plan on quitting school, so I never withdrew from classes and I constantly told myself I would continue with my courses, but it never happened. Now that I have stabilized myself somewhat and have all the support to help me with my daughter that now I have hope to take on a light, manageable course load and get my education back on track.…

Goals that I had set for myself and accomplished were bringing my GPA up and getting inducted into National Honor Society. During my freshman year, my GPA was B+ and so I started motivating myself and I did this by focusing on my grades more often and asking teachers for help, who were very kind. I would like to be able to become stronger both in academics and extra circular activities for me to become stronger and a capable student; it will take hard work and dedication just to push myself. As years passed, by GPA started going up and in my junior year where, some of my friends got inducted into National Honor Society and I had not. It had motivated me more to work even harder, and by the end of Junior Year, my GPA was 89.04 and I was ranked…

Everyone wants good grades throughout their years in school, mainly in high school. I am more of a math and science person, other subjects like history and government. Topics like politics, the constitution, the United States Government, political parties and anything else having to do with Government class I had no interest in when I signed up for classes. I know this is something that I should be keeping up to date on because of the upcoming election and everything that changes with the government. The spring of my sophomore year I was looking for different classes to take, I saw AP Government. I thought I could do well in that class, I was motivated to learn something new and excel at something I was not very interested in. The first day of junior year came quickly. Then the first AP government test came even quicker. I studied the night before for hours thinking positive thoughts and finding funny ways to remember different answers. Going into the test I thought I was ready, but when I saw the test I froze. Thinking different thoughts like “When did we learn this?” or “Why did I take this class?”. I pushed all the negative thoughts to the side and completed the test to the best of my ability. The day we got our test back I looked down and about cried. I had never done that bad on a test.…

I think that I challenged myself to receive good grades, and that I have done so this semester. I am eager to find out new or different things that I have some knowledge about, but I was amazed at the things I thought were right with counseling issues that I was completely wrong about. I am sure that I still have a long way to go, and many new things to learn. I feel that I was entirely invested in this class and all the assignments that were given to me. I wasn’t late on any assignments and many times had the assignment finished before it was due. I read each chapter carefully and was interested in each new thing that I found. I always want to do my very best in each class that I take. I returned back to college when I was 40 years old. This was something that I had dreamed of for many years, but was afraid to try it. I thought that I wasn’t smart enough to go back to school. I am glad that I made this decision even if it was many years after I should have done it.…

Now that almost a year has gone by and I compare my current self to myself in the beginning of the school year, I definitely see an improvement. I started the year off well, with many A’s in my timed writing and my annotations. But as the year progressed, my grades were dropping. At first, I thought it was because I was putting less effort or my English teacher was grading hard on me. Although my grades did not show improvement, I feel my grades are unimportant. What really matters to me is that I grew and improved mentally through the year despite what my low grades. Of course, if I improved then my grades would…

I always strived to do the best that I can, in everything that I do, and this especially applies to academics. In 6th grade, I joined the honors program at my middle school; from then on forward, I made sure than my work was of high enough quality so that the following year I would be placed in honors courses. These courses are what I believe prepared me for my success in high school. I got a taste of what it was like to be in an environment where every pupil was hungry for an education and for knowledge, and I grew to want to learn as much as my classmates. I entered high school with courses that upperclassmen had that challenged me more than anything else had before. It was during my freshman year of high school that I realized that I couldn’t…

Still, a lot of downfalls came into play. I skipped classes enough to lose count and I mainly put on a false front that I was sick just to stay home. In addition to never doing my homework, and when I did I copied from a classmate. Which I later realized wasn’t the best choice when it came to tests. Immediately upon commence of junior year I was called into the office for a meeting with the dean and my mother. The dean carefully evaluated my grades and came to a conclusion, with my mother’s approval, that I should be transferred to a continuation high school, considering I was behind seventy credits. So the changes were made and I was transferred…

As a freshman in high school I knew little about the experience I would have. I still remember the first day very well. I wasn't aware of the distractions that would come with being in this school, but I did know what I wanted. Many diversions take place while trying to keep in mind what is important.I knew I wanted a future that held many opportunities. I believe in goals. I think setting a goal is very important when attaining an education. Goals are also crucial in general.A goal can be as simple as the amount of time spent studying or a grade that needs to be improved. Small goals can be set to achieve much larger ones that prosper over time. I have a goal of completing high school with as many challenging classes I can fit into a schedule. I knew from the beginning of…
