High School Persuasive Essay
For Bellmont High School our band always does concessions for football, basketball and wrestling season. In order for us who are in band to get our patches for our letterman jacket we must do eight concessions. Although, if we don't have eight concessions for each year done by the time we graduate the students, who don't have them don, can't graduate without paying a $100 fine. Well sometimes there are difficulties to get all eight in. I think that the people who don't have their eight in shouldn't have to pay that fine. One reason on why we shouldn't have to pay that fine is because it can be hard for people get eight in. Since most high schoolers have jobs it could make it harder on them to show up. This reason is because the lower class man in band don't have their license and they may not have a ride to show up. Most kids parents work until about 6 and most concessions start before that. Also some kids' houses may be farther out. If someone's house is too far out in the country or if they live in Preble it may be harder on the parents and kids to get there are back from concessions. Although I do understand why we should help out with concessions because the money is for our benefit. The money we make from concessions half of it goes to the school and the other half goes to the band. I do think it is important for people to help out so the school and band can have more money for important things such as the iPads, computers, books, uniforms, instruments, and for the trips. I feel that it is better for everyone to help out in band so everyone does a fair amount of work. However some problems could occur while people are working concessions or before they go to concessions. For example, people could be out of town with the their families for holidays or their could be family illnesses. I know people who have signed up for concessions and they have had to leave early for a family issue, and that concessions won't count for them because they left
