High School and Cousin Jimmy

The Big Roller Coaster The day I got scared to death was my first time going to Cedar Point and going on a really big roller coaster. I was nervous. I was in the line with my cousin Jimmy and my other cousins to go on the corkscrew. My stomach started the turn I started to shake my mind was saying get out of the line but I wanted to go on my whole life. I had to go on with my cousins Michael and Jimmy instead of Olivia or Rebekah. Michael, Jimmy and I were only two people away from getting on. Then Jimmy said,” I was afraid when I went on my first roller coaster too.” Michael said,” no you weren’t” that made me laugh. That made me think that it isn’t so scary after all. Just then I heard someone say that it’s too scary. That made me wish that I never wanted to go on. We’re up next. I got in the seat with Jimmy I thought I was going to puke. At this time I was excited and scared. The seatbelt was on; there was no turning back now. The person pushed the button and we went up the very steep hill. We stopped at the top. My eyes were completely closed. My heart was pounding faster and faster. I knew my cousins in front of me so I said to them, “are you scared?” I didn’t get to hear them because by then we zipped down the coaster. I was screaming so loud I thought I was going to lose my voice. I got dizzy when we went around in circles three times. Finally the ride came to a halt. I felt relieved that it was over. I said to my self that I conquered my fear. I was happy that it was done. I still felt sick but I knew that I could do it all along. At that point I found out that my cousins also scared too! Now I can’t wait to go on the Gemini, Top Thrill Dragster, the Dragon, and the Mine Ride.

I still think my cousin acted a little bit too young for their age because a high school student shouldn’t be screaming at the top of their lungs same

After we went to the bathroom and changed our wet cloth to our dry cloth, we headed straight for the roller coaster. The first ride I rode was the Fiesta Texas, where you go up and fall straight down. I was terrified, but after I saw a five year old looking boy get off, I wasn’t going to let him be braver than me. It was finally my turn. When we were going higher, I could see the people as dots, I thought in my mind I…

When you're a kid you would never think of almost dying at sesame place, but that's exactly what happened to me. As my family and I entered the park, my eyes grew with amazement as I looked around me. There were zooming roller coasters, families laughing, toddlers running around with a sugar high from all the cotton candy they ate, and especially the terrifying, enormous, gray and blue water slide, I looked at the slide with fear and excitement in my eyes. I knew right then and there that I was going to go on that slide no matter the consequences.…

It was about 10:00 and it was time for our free period when we were allowed to go down the slides, the diving boards, or just swim on our own. Three of my buddies said they were going to go off the high dive, I was too shy to speak up about being afraid. I knew it was too little too late now I had to face my fears and just jump. We got in line, and it was as if I was in a trans just staring at everyone climb up the ladder and without hesitation jump and plunge into the icy water. Before I knew it I was on deck and I could feel stomach churning a little bit, as if on cue I heard the splash of Sam and knew it was my turn. I grabbed the metal bars and slowly made my way to the top, I felt like I was a mile off the…

“Wooooshhhhh!!!” At blast off, California Screamin, took us through twists and turns, with an upside down loop. People were screaming their lungs out when the steel roller coaster soared into the air like a rocket. The terrifying speed made my toes curl and the strong wind pushed my head against the rubber black seat. I cried bloody murder on the coaster as it fell plumb down almost touching the ground. All too soon, it was over. After I got off of the thrill ride, I found my haggard look with disheveled hair through a snapshot picture. This is simply too awful to contemplate.…

Climbing into the lime green car, my fear was over taking me. I was getting ready to ride the Titan, an adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride at Six Flags. It was easily the scariest ride at the park, in my opinion, with its enormous peaks, its deep descents, and double helix like turns was enough to make me sick. The ride began. Ascending up in the car on the canary yellow track, into the humidity filled, bright sky, the people observing from below resembled little army ants . The aerial view of Dallas was breathtaking, as I reached the peak of the ride and looked around. Passengers occupying the cars in front of me started falling off, like a cliff. I let out a high-pitched shrill, as we plummeted toward the Earth below. Traveling…

Whether I’m on an airplane or a roller coaster, I have always had the fear of heights. I would become frightened, as I was so high off the ground, and anything could happen. It was intimidating to begin with, but it sped up, I was overcome with adrenaline and I enjoyed the ride. Zip lining was a similar scenario, as I had to climb up very high to reach it, but once I went down, I realized that there was nothing to fear. We waited anyways. An hour went by and it’s almost our turn to go on the ride. Then right before we were about to get on the ride some girl came by us and was telling us about the drop. She said, “everybody agrees that it’s the best ride here.” She then described the ride to us and we thought it sounded like a fun ride. The girl then left and went with her friends to the other line she was in. We got onto the ride, felt wind blowing in our hair, hands were flying up we were having so much fun. The ride then stopped and we got off of it. The same girl that was telling us about the ride was standing there waiting for us. She decided to go on the ride with us as a group. We walked over to the Drop and the line was empty. We gave the man our tickets and we got on. The man then said “get onto the ride at your own risk.” I began to look around nervously, I was scared but I wasn’t going to back out. I thought to myself “how bad could it actually be brehia?” I knew he was just trying to scare us but was also wondering why the line was empty when there were a few hundred people there. We got on to the ride and we started going up slowly, felt like we were never going to reach the top. We got 100 ft in the air and all of the sudden I felt it shake and rattle, we tilted to the right side. The ride was holding on by a few strings. I was so scared panicking, screaming for help, praying to god that we were all going to be safe. I knew I wasn’t going to live I just knew it. Wishing I could tell my family I love them, hoping for the worst. Knew there was nothing I could do, it was over…
